Efficient and attentive staff and great service. I had a part that needed to be shipped from Melbourne to complete my service. It arrived the next day and Trent and the boys stayed late and got my car straight in to complete the job. No extra charges even though it took approx 30 minutes to complete the job should have been about 5 because the Italian designer of my car Alfa Giulietta decided that the air filter would be below the engine not on top like most cars! Anyway this meant that I had a chance to meet the owners and get to know them. Would absolutely recommend that you give these guys a go!
Great bunch of guys, very friendly, very helpful. Took my Jeep Wrangler in for a service on a voucher and they did a great job. Left the car clean and running really well. I have to say that it was a much more personal service than some of the other big franchise service centers. Then took the Jeep back to have the gear change cable replaced They stretch and can't be adjusted.. Had a call within the hour to say that the cable was fine and it just needed a minor repair to the shift mechanism. The bill was a quarter of what I was expecting. Highly recommended.
I recently brought my car to SVS for some emergency clutch repairs as my normal place was booked out for days. These guys offered a very friendly, no nonsense approach and had the car fixed and back to me super quick and for a great price considering the amount of work done. Overall I'm stoked with their service and the repairs! Thanks again!
I have decided to edit my comments below for the following reasons. If you read below you will see that I spoke of my engine light being on after the service and I did return the vehicle to SVS. Jordan was extremely helpful and discovered that SVS had infant placed the wrong battery in the vehicle which they rectified which had caused the engine light to come on and the car to run roughly. I will say that the vehicle had never been neglected and was serviced every 3K kilometres at BMW dealership, after showing these detailed receipts from BMW in Fortitude valley to Jordan at SVS, she could confirm we had not neglected the vehicle as per comments from the owner below. My original 1 star rating has improved to 3 stars because of Jordan and her polite and helpful service. This was our first time at giving SVS in South Brisbane an opportunity to do a standard service of our 2012 vehicle. We knew we needed a new bayttery and asked for a price before booking the vehicle into SVS. I was told the maximum price of a brand new battery would be $240 - $280 and they charged us $400. The cost quoted when i called to book in the service including the battery was between $500 to $600 however the final bill came to $1700......Ouch very unexpected for routine work..............Feeling very ripped off. Very disappointing considering they have lost my business for my Range Rover regular servicing as well. PS: 1 day later the engine light came on. Never had this problem prior to the service! My advice think twice before using this company and get quotes in writing not just over the phone before you commit.
Good work I have purchased a promotional discount card for my car last year however I didn’t had the opportunity to use it until last month. I left my car with them about 8.30am in the morning and by 10.30am I received a call explaining the items that needs replacing and the estimate cost of the service. At 2.30pm they called me and said that the car was ready and the cost was allot less than what I am used to paying with other repairs shops. The car drove beautifully, the service light was reset and I was very happy I recommend Faranda Automotive to all my friends and relatives. Good work David
I have had several services done at SVS auto and have found them very friendly and professional. One day my vehicle was playing up strangely and I thought it was the auto. I called in at SVS Woolloongabba and they took it for a test drive and found that the turbo intake air hose was faulty and suggested it would be covered under warranty. They did not charge me for the inspection and I took the vehicle to the dealer who repaired it under warranty. Another day I was about to do a driving trip to Sydney and wanted to get the vehicle serviced if possible before I left in a couple of days. They managed to squeeze me in on very short notice. Service is excellent
I bought a voucher for this mechanic expecting the worst as I am always apprehensive when a deal seems too good but I have never been more wrong! Even after using my voucher up I have continued to bring my 2005 Subaru here for any issue I have had. I am always welcomed warmly by Alex and the crew with all of my concerns taken seriously. I have had several services, a clutch replacement and most recently the timing belts and service done, and I could not be happier with both the price but the service and speed in which they have all been carried out. Would definitely recommend!
First off, I just want to say how incredibly impressed I was with the exceptionally high quality of service and standard of workmanship I encountered from the moment I picked up the phone to book in my van. I have had many experiences with unreliable mechanics in the past where I have felt unappreciated and ripped off but this was certainly not one. Originally booking in my van for a vehicle safety inspection due to its good value I was able to be seen that same day. After a couple of hours the job was completed and I returned to find a very comprehensive and detailed list with Martin sparring no time to explain, advise and understand my options. In a pressure free environment we selected the work to be undertaken at a very competitive price. Throughout the process Martin dealt perfectly with all obstacles thrown at them by my van, constantly keeping me updated on its progress and coming out a couple of hundred under the original estimate even after fixing another mechanics bad workmanship at no extra cost. My van now runs better than ever and I cannot pass on my thanks and appreciation to those at Faranda enough who worked tirelessly to see the job through with impeccable standards. A credit to the industry!
