just No... I am a fully qualified A Grade mechanic and they tried to sell me work my car did not need while not telling me the actual preventative maintenance my car did need... drive into Indooroopilly or Toowong and get better service you will not be disappointed!Service: Oil change
Thought I would take my car here for the first time as it was local and I needed some repairs done. I was quoted for a job worth $1600 which I agreed to. Paul told me that there was oil pooling down in my Spark Plug wells. I was told I would need new o-ring seals around each spark plug well. Only recently, months after the work was done did I realise that they never replaced the old o-rings around the spark plug wells, instead they put an excessive amount of Silicone Gasket around all 4 of the old o-rings. Not only did they not replace what I was told needed replacement but they also made a mess of it and instead of letting the Silicone Gasket dry they shoved the Plugs down smudging Silicone Gasket all down the side. VERY SLOPPY WORK. It was only recently when I realised there was still oil pooling down in one of the spark plug wells. I took the car back to Paul and said it was leaking again, he told me that I would have to pay for it as they did not actually replace the 4 o-rings. Also paid for a $50 degrease of the engine which never happened when I went to get it repaired! These guys will cheat you and rip you off, NOT WORTH GOING HERE.
Paul and his team have looked after our family's various cars for several years and have consistently met our needs to a high standard. Really appreciate Paul's commitment to explaining what needs to be done and why and discussing all the options including costs. Highly recommended.
I have been using this mechanic for many years now with no problems. The always give me an honest opinion and I have had no car troubles thanks to them. After having used many mechanics over the years, this one is defiantly the best I have ever found.
Why you should always get a second opinion. I took my car too ultimate auto care Bellbowrie. Keeping this short. Was told many thousands to repair. They weren’t sure what it was. They said motor needed ‘major repairs’. Many thousands $. Never willing to give $ estimate. Said they first had to pull engine apart to find cause. Said gearbox was also faulty. Also needed significant $ to fix. And some other parts. Ultimately suggested I get rid of it. Abd my car as might not be worth fixing. Took my car to Nissan Ipswich. Gave me a quote $3700 next day and repaired timing chain soon after. Nothing wrong with gearbox or anything else. Like I said - always get a second opinion. Or find someone more knowledgeable. Good luck.
Can only highly recommend the team at Bellbowrie. My family have 'a few' vehicles. We get them all repaired/serviced here. Never any delays, up front costing and always service with a smile. In the absence of Paul this time.... Josh was just as professional. Thank you
This mechanic relies on having a captive audience, being the only mechanic in town they are used to dictating to their customers instead of providing a friendly flexible service. Its worth driving into Brisbane to avoid experiencing their customer service.
