Cleanest Facilities: Spent 3 nights on a powered site with water at Strahan Beach Tourist Park. Very reasonable rates. Close to town centre, cafes/pub/restaurants, Gordon River Cruises and other attractions. Excellent camp kitchen, plenty of rubbish bins, camp laundry and very friendly staff. The amenities look new. They are the cleanest shower and toilet facilities we have seen and are fastidiously cleaned every day. Would definitely recommend and would stay again
Stayed March 2024. Powered caravan site, good size site9. Amenities clean and tidy. Reception polite and informative. Camp kitchen could probably do with a bit of an update, and is rather small, but still serviceable. Kids sandy playground near camp kitchen, which is good. Great location right near the bay. Short walk along waterfront into town. Bottle shop and cafe/ takeaway, little store, opposite caravan park. Good value for money. We will stay again. Gardens could do with a tidy up and weeding.
What a great place! Cabins are lovely with quality finishes which is super rare. For tent campers there is a very well stocked and spotless kitchen, a top notch laundry room, a cosy lounge room and an indoor/outdoor room w a fire. We arrived after hours w no booking due to not having a signal for the better part of 2 days. To say Staff went the extra mile is an understatement. We were shocked at how affordable the cabins were. I can't really recommend the place enough.
Old dirty barracks on the Tasmanian west coast!nnWe rarely give the minimum score, but now we do. Oh, and Hey Google, when will you implement the zero stars option? Despite the fact that we received a refund for 1 of the 2 nights, the overall experience was terrible.nnWe had booked a cabin for 2 nights. When we arrived we could only conclude that the cabin was filthy, and everywhere. Kitchen filthy, bathroom filthy, windows filthy, everything filthy. Really absurd. Tip for the housekeepers, take a cleaning course. And for management, look behind the couch, behind the stove, behind the refrigerator, look everywhere. And fire the housekeepers anyway. The cabin itself was probably built in the 1950s and has never been maintained, so you wouldn't let your dog sleep there.nnAfter we reported this and had to follow up on our report the next morning, we were eventually offered another cabin. As it turned out, it was renovated and much better. It looked also cleaner, but here too you should take a look behind the sofa, refrigerator and oven. The second night was at least slightly better.nnDuring the discussion at front office, we were politely assisted by Sophie, who receives a compliment. But the rest of the staff sucks. We eventually received a refund, but we had to follow up several times before we actually received it.nnResume: Don't go here, and if you have any doubts, don't go. What an unprecedented mess.
Stayed at a powered site in a motorhome. Great location by the water and an easy walk along foreshore to the lovely main street of Strahan. Park amenities were good. Clean showers and toilets and excellent laundry. Didn't use the camp kitchen but very well set up. Self checkin so were able to just drive in.
