This was quite simply the greatest meal we have had on our 5-day adventure through New Zealand.nnI have the seafood chowder and it was amazing. My wife had the mussels, they were amazing. My daughter a stoked burger; amazing. My son fish and chips, and you guessed it, amazing.nnEven let me try a few different beers to find the one I liked a local IPA on tap which was delicious.nnIf we weren’t flying back to Aus tomorrow I would have loved to have come back!! Next time!
Website and menus it’s not up to date. They don’t have more coffees, teas or chocolates, cheesecake wasn’t a cheescake we got a tiny slice of ripe plantain and tasted like pudding Staff looked tired. No music outside. Oysters were good and prawns were good too.
Had lunch as a family 2+2. The service was very friendly, and we ordered three entrées and two kids’ meals. The fish dish was good, but the other meals were below average and seemed more like frozen food with store-bought sauces than fresh and selfmade. Maybe the other fish dishes would have been better, as many reviews suggest. Unfortunately, they do not offer coffee. On the positive side, we liked the digital menu, ordering, and payment system.
Great place to go for a reasonably priced drink and a bite to eat.nnStaff were very friendly, the chips were incredible and the atmosphere was lovely. Great variety of seating indoor and outdoor flow was good, making great use of the ocean and harbor views.
Short visit at Whitianga town and had lunch here as the price seems better than the next door restaurant and it didn’t disappoint us.nMixed meat platter is great portions for two and pulled pork pizza and seafood chowder also amazing buffalo chicken wings with perfect spicy , the low alcohol passion fruit cider is so refreshing love it! The waterfront view is relaxing nice table setting.
