Service was great, friendly staff. The Smitty burger was the best my adult son has had in NZhe has had at least 1 daily for 9 days the corn fritters were very good as well. The fried share platter was pretty good. The shrimp were the star there.
food was quite decent, with the mushroom pasta being the most enjoyable dish that we ordered. the fried chicken was a bit tough for our liking. the bar had a lively atmosphere!
Monday night service -nnOrdered the lamb shank + Loaded wedges, great presentation. Decent serving size. Very timely delivery.nnGreat beer tap selection and value menu.nnOther than being a quiet school night couldn’t fault the service.
Haven't tried any food here, but it is an excellent place to watch rugby and grab a pint of good beer. They have screens both inside and outside and the stream from 8 am when All Blacks are playing. I came here during the last RWC and it was full house so the atmosphere was outstanding.
Disappointing to say the least. Wanted to enjoy a steak meal; however, what I got was a piece of plastic in the meal. Advised the staff who took the meal to the chef with no feedback, explanation or apology. New to town, first experience, will not be back.
