Lady working there was extremely rude to both customers and staff. complaining about having to do her job, blaming customers for wanting food, constantly giving snarky remarks. Left my friends and I absolutely shocked as we have never received service like this anywhere before. I understand it may be a busy day, but kindness and a bit of respect is expected, we customers all treated you kindly, give the same back. I AM NOT AN EX EMPLOYEE, THEY ARE LIARS
The food was fine, but the employees did not make this a good experience at all. There was an older lady and older gentleman working when we went in. We are from the US and not familiar with the changes in menu. Anytime we asked a question, we were treated with complete disrespect. Been in New Zealand for 2 weeks and this was the first bad experience we have had with the locals. Hopefully instead of the owner arguing or continuing to belittle me about my review, they take this seriously and work on their customer service.
To follow up my previous review discussing the disrespectful service I get a response saying it’s fake and I am a ex staff member. That is a complete lie and the owner refuses to take responsibility for her actions. Many people have had issues with you and you refuse to take accountability. I believe we all have bad days but this behaviour is obviously reoccurring with the amount of bad experiences people have had here. Please take responsibility of your actions and make the change to be a better worker. Maybe customer service isn’t your thing, but it is your job, so try harder. Thanks :
came in the other day with my brother who was autism, evie i think that’s her name served us and she was amazing with him. she was so helpful, spoke directly to him and wasn’t judgment at all thank you!!!!

Good food nice staff.the portion was just Right and the buffalo chicken had the perfect amount of spice. alot of the people leaving negative reviews need to know that respect earns respect and if you treat employees and small business owners with rudeness and disrespect then you deserve the same back. small business's have had it hard enough already. The group who ordered before me where very rude and loud and i apologize on the behalf of my generation for people who treat fast food workers and bussimess owners with disrespect. respect for the lady who served me for having the guts to tell them they weren't welcome back. I only have one very small complaint. i originally ordered a foot long and 3 cookies and she asked me if i would like to upgrade to a combo, since it was only $1 More I said yes but she didn't tell me that i got 2 cookies instead of 3 with a combo
My partner and I went to this subway on the 26th of April at about 12.41pm. The guy with the long hair serving us was amazing! I currently work in a subway in New Plymouth, Taranaki. I am very enthusiastic about my job and it was awesome to see another subway worker just as enthusiastic as myself. I always get a gf wrap which a lot of subways I have been to have struggled with wrapping it but this worker was awesome at it and the sub was great!!! He even wrote enjoy on my sub wrapping, very chatty and great communication this guy deserves a raise he is a great asset to your team! Very happy with this Subway experience
I go to this place often and usually very good customer service and beautiful sandwiches. Unfortunately, I am writing this one as my last visit was the one that will have me thinking into if I want to go there again or not. The very young boy, who by the first look appeared to be friendly and nice, served me and stared the service with,” let me wash my hands before wearing gloves”, which actually impressed me. Eventually, as he turned back after washing his hands he would chatter non stop about the irrelevant things that I didn’t even want to talk about. A usual hello, how are you or how’s your day been is perfectly fine. But talking non-stop even when you see the other person is more interested in sandwich than the nonsense you’re utteringexcuse my words. The sandwich he made took way more time than it normally takes for a sandwich as the sandwich making skills were somewhere 2-3 on a scale of 0-10. He scratched his nose midway while doing salads. Of course he was wearing a mask but it was a reusable one which means he would be wearing the same one the whole day and he after scratching his nose actually his mask, he went back to the salads with the same gloves!! And in the end, even though he took ages to make a sandwich, he asked me what it was while he was wringing up the sale!! I would highly recommend the management to improve their training standards and expect the same old service that I always get during my visits to the store.
As a regular subway diner, I was shocked at how highly disappointed I was in the level of food and service. The owners are so rude to customers and the portions are way less than all other stores I’ve visited.
Super grumpy old lady with no patience. Other staff super friendly but the only grumpy old lady that ruins the whole subway experience. I hope she sees this and does better.
