What a great little spot to have a meal! We love coming to Espi Cafe every year, either for their coffee, ice cream or just good food! Their shakes are to die for as well. We'll be back!
Fantastic cafe! Having brunch with families and the the food was great! The vegetarian salad came with such a big portion with reasonable price. The big breakfast has so many in it and tastes great! Highly recommended and will definitely come back!
Wow, what a dining experience. Called in to The Espry Cafe for brunch, along with many others, place was packed, alive with the sounds of earnest conversation, kāwhe's being made, and food being prepared.nnAmple seating inside and out, although with light rain falling, most were inside, lovely decorated with Christmas decorations.nnCabinet food looked delicious and hard to pass by, so I got a cheesecake lollie dessert, along with an open steak sandwich, ultimate Espy smoothie, and a cappuccino with chocolate.nnKai was delicious, steak melted in my mouth, and salad was lovely. Kāwhe was well made, and I loved the additional chocolate fish. The Espy smoothie was huge and the best smoothie I've had in a long time.nnA perfect dining experience, if you're in Whitianga or surrounds I caught the ferry across from Ferry Landing, Cooks Beach, it's well worth the visit, you won't be disappointed, I wasn't.
We had breakfast before leaving the area. It was included as part of the tour I was doing but seemed good value. There were good options and I enjoyed the waffles and hot chocolate.nnI didn't think it was too early to have ice cream!
Returning to Espy Cafe after so many years was like returning to visit an old friend. Menu selection was very good with some vegetarian options. Staff were super friendly and service was super quick - our teas arrived about as soon as we had sat down!nnOur meals arrived a few minutes later. Mine was the Blokes Breakfast whilst my sister's was the Corn Fritters. Both were superb.nnVery noticeable was how quickly tables were cleared of used plates, cups and cutlery then given a good clean including chairs.nnStill my favourite Cafe in Whitianga with its great location, great food and superb service.
