We chose this company because the reviews were mostly positive. Most of he Mitcham team were quite friendly to deal with, but we have not had a good experience overall. 

We were advised to install a stereo made specifically for our vehicle, and we paid more for it because we were told it would fit perfectly. However, the stereo head unit vibrates on many road surfaces we use (Ringwood area). We took the car back, but SSV told us there was nothing they could do. If the unit is really vehicle specific, I can only assume the vibration is a result of how the unit was installed. 

SSV also installed a rear camera for us. We were told that we would be able to see the entire rear bumper (width) of the vehicle. In fact, almost 20cm of the rear bumper is off screen. I am not sure if we were given inaccurate information, or if again it was the result of the installation.

Finally, the interior trim/panelling that was removed to install wiring was not put back correctly (visually, this is quite obvious), and the result is vibrations that were not there before the installation. 

Again, SSV told us there was nothing they could do. 

We had assumed that a new audio system, installed by professionals, would improve our listening experience. Unfortunately for us, it has had the opposite effect. 

I cannot recommend this company.

They installed a dash cam and hardwire kit I supplied for a very reasonable prices and did a very neat and professional looking job. Only fault I could find was that the e-Tag was just inside the dash cam field of view, an easy fix for me. I would definitely recommend Sam and his crew.

Excellent knowledge, and the service was great.  Great sales technique as I felt totally comfortable with the advice and the pricing.  Excellent turnaround time, and loving the new sound in my boat!!!

Great customer service and amazing prices highly recommend the mitcham store for items an highly recommend them to install fast an sound is amazing on my Alpine Double Din also love the reverse Camera Thanks Sam.
