This has been the best experience I've had at any Spotlight store. A big thank you to the kind and helpful gentleman who took the time to assist me, even though he was clearly busy stocking shelves. His friendly attitude and willingness to go out of his way truly made a difference. It's rare to come across such dedicated and genuine customer service these days, and I really appreciate the effort he put in. I hope Spotlight recognises the value of employees like him — we need more people like that in retail!
Wonderful store, good selection, great layout but beat of all amazing customer service with a smile - very friendly and patient staff. Big thanks to Ryan, Lida, Nargis? and Milla for being so kind and helpful!! This store is a lot further from my home than others but I will happily make the drive in the future to see these awesome people!
I’ve been shopping at Spotlight Sandown for years, and I just have to mention how amazing Nargis is in the dress department! She’s honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back.nnEvery time I visit, she’s so helpful, friendly, and full of great advice. Whether I’m looking for fabric, thread, or just some guidance with a project, she always takes the time to make sure I get exactly what I need. You can tell she really knows her stuff and genuinely cares about her customers.nnThe department is always well-organised and welcoming, and that’s all down to how well Nargis manages it. She goes above and beyond every single time. It’s rare to get service this good anywhere these days — thank you, Nargis, for always making my visits such a pleasure!
On 31st of December of 2025, I was walking into the store, and we found the staff was shutting door I thought the store just have to prepare to close early due to New Year’s Eve that clearly stated on google, the closing time is at 6pm. But it was still half an hour left so I thought I will just quickly grab what I need and get out, because I didn’t know they actually shut at 5:30pm, I followed a couple in, the staff didn’t tell us in the first place either, but have told me that ‘no idea why google state they close at 6pm’ when I get out at around 5:29pm, I apologised and said sorry I didn’t know, the staff at the door also apologised for the inconvenience, which I understand, it is New Year’s Eve in the end of the day. But the dude who was wearing glasses with grey hair said, guys we are close and I said oh I will just grab this and get out. Dude just looked away and never said anything back. What an attitude? Is this the proper customer service Spotlight gives to people? Not to mention he never said anything to the couple in front of me? They are white and I’m Asian, was he being racist? But that face will forever be remember when I think about spotlight. I didn’t know that the store is closing at 5:30pm in stead of 6pm? But with that attitude, I strongly recommend people to avoid this store as it is very unprofessional to treat a customer that way.
I usually dread shopping at spotlight for the main reason of never being able to find anyone to assist. Today was an altogether different experience thanks to the lovely young man, Sendiya.nSendiya assisted us in selecting the correct curtains and made such a positive impact on me that I felt the need to praise him for his good work. He was both professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Well done!!!
