The worst experience here this morning, we left without purchasing anything. The store was filthy the floor was sticky, stock all messed up and pulled out... half of it laying on the floor and the other half missing. Staff were super unhelpful, wouldn't stop chatting to each other to help us and when we finally did get their attention, the response was have a look and if you can't find it, we don't have it! Hard for an employee to take pride in their work when the place is a hot mess though. Sad!

This is a great store but they need either more staff on or I came at break time. Only one girl at the front counter with a line up of customers. The material section was unattended completely and we rang the bell 4x The counter where the balloons are was also unattended. Was extremely difficult to get help.

The costume department for adults selection lacks terribly. Always call up before going or you could be driving there for nothing. There are some awesome options on the website but they’re rarely in stock

I waited a total 40 minutes "on hold" after telephoning them! I drove there to see that their phone was still "bleeping" to indicate that they had a person waiting to be answered! The girl on the material cutting counter to whom I asked to be put through to, was picking her finger nails and not the slightest bit "busy" which she said she was! I had noted a Police car out the front as I arrived and the Manager said that was the reason perhaps my call was unanswered! What??? No one in that Store could answer a phone??? My problem was with a dress pattern I had bought last month, which was incomplete, lacking the instructions for material layout. They didn’t have another pattern to offer me so my problem remains with an unusable pattern.Standing there all that time, at the counter with the Manager, my phone call was still not answered and obviously not a single sales person was going to answer that call! After 40 minutes I chose to hang up instead whilst still standing at that counter! I could have been the MYSTERY SHOPPER DOING AN AUDIT on them and they would have FAILED MISERABLY. I guess that they were all more interested "rubber necking" at the Police presence rather than doing their jobs in their own departments, and the said young girl was busy picking her finger nails still!! All staff need education in answering a telephone and not to ignore people. Apparently that isn't a pre requisite to being employed at Spotlight! Education in people skills and ongoing  Professional Developement is imperative for ALL staff members which and should be mandatory.

Very bad customer service.  We bought sewing machine for gift. Before purchasing we asked cashier about their return policy and he said you can return in 24 hours and get full refund. Next day we went to store it was within 24 hours. They refused to return the item and insulated us.  Worst management! Manager name was Alana and employee name was Denial. They don’t know how to treat customers and big liars.  I would never suggest to buy anything form spotlight.

Arrived at spotlight Clovercrest shop 14/10/22 at  around 5:05pm,met one oldish ,short & very slender woman at the shop entrance.  I greeted her very gently, as i wanted to know where to get the item was looking for in order to save time.  Instead to greeting back,all that she could say was to tell me how busy with another customer she was,and talking so loud that every customer around the entrance counter could hear. I felt so hurt,embarrassed,frustrated,overwhelmed and even regretful why I approached her to start with.  Was it necessary & or worth’t to shout instead of greeting back,thereafter excuse herself & maybe promise to help me later? Or get me someone/coworker to help me? I felt she failed me & SHE HAS NO CUSTOMER INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

I live spotlight, but the pricing on the items is a bit unclear. I was surprised when I purchased a pillow for $70 that I thought from the signage was $40. Just double check at the register. But all in all, good products.

I really like spotlight, lots of products, and as a VIP sometimes get great discounts. However the Clovercrest store really needs it's air conditioning updated - as soon as it gets warm outside, it's stiffling in there, don't spend very long when it's hot, I don't know how those poor staff work in it everyday!

Absolutely disgusting!!! Spending dollars and they were not helpful at all spent over an hour all they needed to do was check if another store had the last two I ordered in the end I did it myself
