We stayed at the Sofitel Brisbane Central with our young family and came away thoroughly impressed. The location is hard to beat it sits right next to Brisbane Central Station, so getting around the city was effortless, and you’re only a short walk from Anzac Square and the heart of town.nOur suite was a real standout. It was exceptionally large, with a separate lounge room and lovely views from both rooms. For a small family it worked perfectly, plenty of space to spread out, and somewhere for the little ones to settle without everyone being on top of one another.nIf your budget can stretch to it, I’d really recommend paying the extra for Club Millésime. The executive lounge has stunning views over Anzac Square and the Brisbane skyline, and it’s a relaxed, welcoming spot to unwind in from the afternoon through into the evening. The inclusions made a real difference to our stay, a welcome gift waiting in the room on arrival, breakfast down at Bistro Suzette, afternoon tea from 3 to 5, and evening drinks and canapés from 5.30 to 7.30. The late check out until 1pm was a small touch that made a big difference travelling with little ones, and there’s also use of a meeting room and fast wi-fi if you need to get a bit of work done.nWe had lunch at Bistro Suzette and it was fantastic. The all day dining is sophisticated without being stuffy, the service was impeccable, and there were plenty of options for the kids. The mussels and the steaks were a particular highlight and really excellent.nThe staff deserve a special mention too. Everyone we dealt with was warm and friendly, and the whole hotel has a welcoming feel to it. Given the level of service, we thought the price was fair as well.nAll up, a great stay and an easy one to recommend, particularly for a small family. Just spring for the Club Millésime experience if you can, it’s well worth it.
We stayed in a Cityscape room at Sofitel Central for 7 nights and would totally recommend, based on our experiences.nAfter an early morning flight we arrived at the hotel hours before our due check-in: staff were delightfully welcoming and gave us access to our room immediately. This was very much appreciated as we’d were extremely tired. After a short rest we were able to explore and find our bearings in what was a first visit to the city.nDoor staff were consistently lovely in their efforts to help with transport on arriving and leaving the premises. And a big shout out to Liv who served us coffee and croissants each morning: she was particularly welcoming and helpful.nThe location is excellent! Everything is a short walk: good restaurants and cafes; Queen Street Mall with its high end retail and the stylish South Bank with its museums and theatres.nAnd if you need an extra pillow or a blanket as we did it was promptly delivered after a brief request.nWe would return to Sofitel in a heartbeat
Sofitel Brisbane Central is brilliantly located right over Brisbane Central Station. A quick ride down in a lift and escalator and you are right on the platform at the railway station. A short walk through the subway to Queensland St Mall.nThe hotel has a beautiful inviting lobby and mostly excellent and attentive staff.nThe breakfast buffet is the best I have ever experienced.nThe room was adequate but, very dated. The worst features were the very difficult to control air conditioning analogue control and the shower over the bath. Everything worked but very 80’s in design and style.nThe night dining was terrible. On our first night we decided to try the restaurant. It started ok. We were seated and then waited and waited and waited. Nobody even came to offer water or a drink. In the end, we walked out, went to our room and ordered Uber Eats. The restaurant really did not look busy.nOverall, we were happy with our stay. To be honest, I would stay again. Loved the location and breakfast.nIn context, we are members af ALL, have been for over 20 years. Over the last 3months, I have needed to visit Brisbane for sometimes extended periods for medical treatment. From November 2025 until February 2026, I have stayed at several Accor hotels. Sofitel Brisbane Central rates about second or third after FV by Peppers in Fortitude Valley.
I’m here for a conference. I arrived in Brisbane the same day prior to the conference and still made it on time. It’s extremely easy to get to from the airport via the airtrain as it is connected to the central station.nnCheck in was easy. Staff were very helpful. I left my belongings in the morning and then my belongings were sent to my room afterwards.nnI got given a pleasant upgrade to a high floor and great view. Thanks so much for such a wonderful experience. Will definitely return next time!nnPS the bed is so nice!
I had a great stay at the Sofitel Brisbane. I attended a conference there and it was catered for well, the room was set up well for conference and again for the after party. Staff at reception for check in and check out covered everything about my stay and were very friendly. The hallways leading to your room greet you with a lovely fragrance. My room was very comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. The Nespresso Coffee Pod machine was great to have. The whole hotel is beautifully presented. Thank you
