Gorgeous Indian restaurant in Woodend. Staff and customer service here is fantastic, friendly and warm ambience at dinner time. Onion and Spinach Bhaji was delicious, it had fresh ingredients and wasn't overly fried. Mutton Lamb Madras and Butter Chicken had just the right spice however I personally found the sauce too sweet. Would have been great to have more meat given the price of the dish. Loved the Garlic Naan which was thin, crispy and tasty including the Saffron rice was top notch.
The food was Moorish, and the host Sam most welcoming . It was interesting watching customers interact with the host. Seriously, it was like having a meal with a large family. Food 100%, atmosphere %100, service 100%. Now, it isn't the cheapest, but you do get what you pay for.nAfter a very challenging week, this was exactly what we needed.nThx Sam you are a wonderful host, We will be back.
First time in the region & Sizzler Restobar was one of the recommendations of our B&B host... So glad we took the tip! Outstanding flavours, atmosphere & service. Just go and see for yourself. Top notch!
