Story

Holgate Brewhouse is a small, independent, family-owned brewery in Woodend, Victoria, Australia. The brewery operations began in 1999 and were moved to the Keatings Hotel in 2005, where the Brewhouse also operates a restaurant and hotel. Holgate beers are available in bottles and on tap throughout the Melbourne area.Their beers have consistently won accolades at the Australian International Beer Awards, including gold medals for the Mt Macedon Ale and Pilsner, as well as the 2008 Premier's Trophy for Best Victorian Beer for the Big Reg Lager.

Would never recommend this place. Book a room for a function when we arrived there was a very rude lady that told us they had booked this room and for us to get out. Then we were put into another room that was totally inadequate for our needs. There was no staff advising us of where we had to order meals or drinks. The only time we saw them was when our meals came. They where only average at best for the price you pay.
Food is horrible.nNot one to comment but when the food tastes like D grade leftovers i have too.nRice a Riso is better than the Duck Risotto on the specials board.nIf my 15 year ild made this id say keep practicing
A group of 10 of us visited the pub & the brewery. We had a very informative tour of the brewery and the accomodation.nLunch was very nice in the private room with a beautiful fire place.nService was excellent.nWe enjoyed everything and highly recommenced it..
Our girl's night was a success. We loved the fireplace and the ambiance in the dining room. Half our group tried the specials and were very pleased with the pork dish. The vegetarian of our group was blown away by the miso eggplant dish and the warm spiced cider was perfect on that chilly night. All guests happy, would go back next time we're in the area.
Really good food and friendly customer service. I got the falafel wrap and my partner god the fish and chips. We were both really happy with our meals. It was refreshing to get a falafel wrap from a restaurant that didn't feel dry at all. The pitta was great and the hummus even better
