Nice atmosphere and wait staff were friendly and prompt.nn“Baked eggs” was more of a hot tomato paste and eggs were chewy and rubbery. Could not even get half way through it.nnI write you this, from my porcelain throne.
Under new management. Food was good and the new owner/manager came out to introduce themselves. Lovely café. One thing from a Mum with a baby, the highchair is a bit old and didn't work that well.. I would suggest some new safer highchairs for us Mums who come out for a desperate coffee.
Very popular with the locals; seniors seem particularly taken with this cafe. Staff are very attentive. Coffee is hot but not up to my high standards. The Danish was I suspect made a day or so earlier. But very hard to get a seat.
Paysanne is a great little find for us. We often pop in for a coffee and cake when we pass through Woodend. Excellent choice of gluten free food as well as other delights. Coffee was also great. Parking is good. It was busy inside always a good sign but plenty of seats outside. Staff were very pleasant. We will return on our next time we visit Woodend for sure.
Genuine old fashioned service with a smile. Had the lamb pot pie which was delicious. They were fully booked so we were happy to sit outside. As it was a cold day, they brought us hot water bottles. Will definitely be back.
