Booked & paid to stay after overseas trip. Landed 12.40 am. Once through customs phoned many times using both motel phone numbers  with no response. At 2.00 am took  taxi to motel but still no staff responding at the motel. Sign on office door stated person on call until 3.00 am! Spent long time continuing to phone, knocked on doors, windows & used intercom. Still no help. Stranded outside without help so had to phone a friend to be picked up at 3.00 am. We were only offered compensation if we signed paper agreeing not to talk about our experience or write negative comments on the web!  Motel Director wanted me to edit my review and say we had '"trouble booking in" but we were able to resolve our issues with management. If I complied I would be "rewarded" but his version of the night's events was not the truth so I did not sign nor did I receive compensation because I refused to be bullied or intimidated.

Lovely spot. Great location, nice facilities, well laid out. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Mostly young families, but still good for an older group.

Convenience is great and customer service great,  however,  no air conditioning,  and very humid night!  Fan provided but blew hot air around. Bar fridge seemed to over heat,  front window had no secure fastenings so couldn't even leave the window open,  facilities need re-furbishment.

Extremely Welcoming Managers, 
Rooms are very clean,  comfortable  Bed. Stay week.  Very Secure, and relaxing .  I stayed in many Motels hotels Worldwide.  And Highly Recommend stay at Silver Oaks.  Worldwide Travellers,  look no further.  Personal touch of home.

Basically the services are good but nothing compare to what you could experience in South Island. Basic aminities are ok.
