Our flight connecting from Queenstown to Fiji got stopped short in Auckland for a layover. We were in the middle of our honeymoon and had to beg the airline to get a room for the night. Even though the hotel doesn’t have the best facilities (quite overdue for an upgrade) the staff is incredibly hospitable and the most kind-hearted! My wife and I’d like to especially thank the Holiday Inn restaurant staff for making our short stop a little more enjoyable with the bottle of bubbly. It was truly a generous gesture and one we will never forget!

I have stayed here twice and each time I enjoyed the stay. The rooms were big and clean. When I asked for an extra bed they promptly moved the extra bed to my room. The garden surrounded by the rooms was very nice giving a sense of tranquility to the place. The breakfast buffet at the restaurant was good. So was the dinner buffet. I also like the fact that you can take a shuttle to and from the airport. There are also little touches to help travellers, such as having a scale by the entry to weigh your luggage. The only issue I have is that the wifi signal at my room was rather weak and my connection was sporadic.

This hotel was in a great location for the airport, close to the motorway to the airport. The room was clean and a good size with a King size bed. Very comfortable

Hotel is very close to the airport but far from downtown, where you may want to spend the most of the time during the stay.. The swimming pool was on the smaller size.. Also it isnt heated.. Rooms are clean and of his size.. The kids arena was interesting eith air hockey.. Video games.. Table tennis.. Overall a good place to stay if you don't mind the distance to downtown..
