That place used to be a scenic beauty, but now there are some constructions going on. Hope they know what they are doing. It's okay though.

An easy walk up (OK, drive it if you must) and a great view over the Auckland isthmus.

It's a volcanic cone with a vehicle access... Summit has good views across the city, but is car dominated, pedestrian unfriendly with no walkways. Used condoms round the place suggest it's a romantic spot to park up, or frolic in the long grass. There's a palm lined shared path that runs around the motorway side, with some naff interpretive Maori structures. Stone seats are cool. Worth a visit, but nothing special.
