Seaview Hotel

Beautiful and quiet on the beach and the views are to die for. Unfortunately the meals can't say the same. The schnitzel is over cooked and the crumbed steak is deep fried by smell of things and tastes weird. The cops and gravy are to die for, the flavour and heat wonderful. Not to bad I suppose for a pub meal. It is what it is. Cheers big ears

Very nice meals, everybody in our group of 9 was happy with the portion sizes and waiting times, is situated in a beautiful location, was picked by a local friend of our family because it has a excellent reputation I was told and bar no mash potato being available with meals instead of vegetables / salad, the meals were absolutely perfect. Table service to bring out meals wasn't offered but that's the case in most areas of Townsville compared to Melbourne I personally found but they gave me a beeper device to notify us when to go up and collect our meals which worked well. Oh, watch out for those dam scooter riders to, a young teenage girl ran into me on the footpath from behind as I was leaving but luckily I didn't get hurt. If it was a older member of our group though they would've needed urgent hospital treatment!! Kid-friendliness: We sat in a area where there was a nice looking fish tank viewable, there was a beautiful view onto the strand and beach area, there was TV screens in every direction showing various sports and similar topics that teenagers might be interested in. Was kid friendly where we sat though yes. Parking: We couldn't find any vacant spots up close but there's many just around the corner near Coles so we parked there.

Terrible experience. Took the family out looking for a nice meal. We were one of the first to order, waited an hour then went to check how long the meals would be. Two had been sitting on the counter long enough to go cold. We were told it wont be long for the other three but to take the buzzer. Another 15 minutes went by, other meals now finished and we find our steaks had now been sitting for 10 minutes. Chicken wings and wedges for our daughter still hadnt been started. We both ordered medium rare steaks and as per the picture the cow could still moo. The meals were cold and the staff still somehow made it our fault for not checking more often even though they use a buzzer system. Poor form Seaview, we will not be back.

I spent a couple of hours here on a hot Sunday, sipping various beers, munching on a very nice parma, watching the sailing in the bay. There are heaps of different areas to choose to sit and relax, either solo or large group. A nice modern pub.Food: 4/5

Atmosphere..spot on! Live music, beautiful weather and great vibes. Staff seemed fairly disinterested. Norm the food has been great! During our visit on a Saturday at the weekend, the chips were not quite hot enough and bun was a bit dry on the steak burger. Definitely not too bad, just needed a bit more love. Cheers Seaview, still had a great time and enjoyed a couple of drinks.

Disappointed to spend my money here, Service was unfriendly and food was very ordinary. Girl taking food orders took a phone call whilst receiving our payment, couldn’t even acknowledge us when we said thanks . Had pork bites, tasted like a complete bottle of soy sauce was thrown in. Chicken parmigiana was nothing to rate either. Hard to recommend when there are so many other options near by.

I really enjoy a medium rare steak, except l ordered the chicken parm and the other half ordered the steak. Problem is it wasn't medium rare it was fkn blue rare. Lucky for me l ate the blue rare steak, not so lucky for the person who actually wanted a medium rare steak who had to eat chicken.Food: 2/5

The place was lovely some of the outside bench seats need replacing. The lady at the dinner service was absolutely fantastic. Polite, funny, extremely understanding. The only issue i think it would have been nice to have a air-conditioned room to eat. It was sweltering and we actually left quickly due to this. Otherwise we would have stayed longer . But a pleasant experience.

Food was ok, presentation wasn't there. Service was very plain and in some ways rude, have to fish words out of the mouth of attendants.Food: 3/5

Good food, friendly staff. Health Kick salad was amazing, as was the calamari. Shame the coffee machine wasn't working, we'd have stayed longer & probably had desert, too. Happy to return another day Food: 4/5
