Overall everything was nice, but other write ups I've read caused me to have high expectations which weren't really met. There were a couple of issues with orders being misunderstood wrong flavour milkshake, kids pancakes instead of main size pancakes being provided, but these were minor and rectified. As for the meals pictured, the mushrooms didn't have a lot of seasoning or flavour and I've had much creamier hollandaise elsewhere, but overall they were nice. We had no major issues with the food, it just didn't live up to the hype I've read about long queues and how it's apparently Townsville's best breakfast. And just a note for potential diners, not a criticism in any way, just something to be mindful of! as the dining area is right over the water gorgeous views!, it can be really noisy with the waves crashing on a windy day, so keep that in mind if you have little ones or are wanting a quiet location.
We had the Shakshuka and Eggs Benny.nExtremely tasty.nWas a very busy morning and we were told that it's was about 10 mins wait for coffee and 30 minutes for meals when we were seated, but it didn't feel that long until we got our order.nGreat views of the beach and Maggie Island. We also saw some turtles popping their heads out of the water.
Super friendly staff. Food wasn't too bad, had a nice relish but egg was over cooked and not heaps of flavour. I had to wait about 1hr for breakfast but I wasn't in a rush and they did acknowledge it and apologise. Coffee was a bit weak too. Probably wouldn't bother recommending this place to friends or family if they are passing through.
Grabbed the Spanish eggs and an eggs bene with salmon + loaded up extras. Food was amazing, staff service was warm and professional. Was a great experience, thank you C Bar!
6 for breakfast. Amazing venue, great outlook & building looks fabulous after recent renovation. Unfortunately dining was very average. Absolutely awful stodgy corn cakes & dry bacon. Ordered fresh OJ but it was weirdly separated & tasted a little off- apparently they squeeze it first thing of a morning, but it tasted 2 days old. Coffee was a little weak, but ok. Waffles were fine.
