Scotties Rental Cars

My experience was excellent. I contact Scotties by the airport phone and they answer very efficiently and picked me up to their office. The price was competitive with others brands and the mechanical, comfort and cleaning of my Nissan was perfect. I can make a trip for 28 days around NZ without problems. I surely will recommend Scotties for friends or other travellers who want a truly and serious company!

Please avoid this car rental office. I rented a car from them in Auckland and paid partially in cash and the rest with credit card, because they charge 3% for all credit cards. After I came back to the States, they charged my credit card again with the amount I paid in cash (about $300). Tried to dispute it with Chase credit card because it wasn't authorized by me. However, Scotties was lying that I owed them the remaining balance, which I paid full in cash!! Stupid me not asked for a receipt of cash payment, so they just charged me $300 more. Be careful with these people. They are not the honest people/ company in the world!!

Rented a car through bartercard with no excess insurance fee (+$35). I rented a car at 11:00 but the car that I was supposed to use hasn't arrived from christchurch, was meant to arrive at 12. It didn't bother me as they did have a spare manual car which they put up for use. It wasn't cleaned yet but I was okay with it. The gas was empty, so the deal was to return the car empty as well. Pretty straight forward, no complications and family owned. I used the car to take a small trip to north shore and back and returned the car within 2 hours. Would definitely recommend if you needed a car quickly.

Everyone at Scotties was extremely helpful and nice. We rented a car for the weekend and they made the process very fast and easy. We had no problems with the car. The car was clean on arrival as well. Would definitely recommend them!

Scotties rental cars worked perfectly for us. We had a late arrival so we just called the given number and we were told where our car was in the parking lot. Keys were in it, GPS ready to go, gas, map(didn't need it with the GPS (worth the extra cost if you don't know NZ), even a book on the laws for driving. Quick easy return. Easy online booking and paper signing, no reams of paperwork. GREAT PRICE GOOD CAR FANTASTIC COMPANY
