Bought a house and land package was unfortunate enough to be assigned this builder. Everything completed well. However after 3 months of tenants moving in, the benchtop in the ensuite cracked. Informed Sandsky and they said I didn't pick it up during the handover inspection and blamed it on tenant or human negligence. For a thick wooden benchtop to crack, there must be such huge force applied and I don't know who would to that.In the contract, it was mentioned a 6-month warranty period but they Sandsky refused to honour that warranty saying exactly that it was negligence. Anyway, got the QBCC involved and they too were nothing more than helpful. Now after 2 years, the ceiling fan has broken down, the downlights are not working. So if you are thinking of building, please find another builder because they are going to find the slightest excuse not to honour the 6-month warranty of the new home. I don't even know what chance I have with the 6-year or whatever years of structural warranty they provide. Most probably they would say negligence and find a way to wriggle out of their obligations.

Overpromised, underdelivered!!! My wife and i purchased a townhouse developed by Sandsky in Brisbane. In the contract, it clearly states that 'the build duration is 225 calendar days' . However, it has been 280 days till today and we are still waiting for their response. I would recommend everyone who is looking for a good builder to avoid Sandsky development, because you don't want to spend your hard-earned money on an untrustworthy builder.
