I needed to stay for only one night between medical appointments. This hotel really met all of my needs.nnI booked a standard room, knowing that it'd be on the ground floor. All of my concerns about noise were for nothing. The room was well away from the lobby and so quiet!nnI was able to set up my laptop and monitor at the desk two power points there and get some work done.nnActually the placement of power points two at desk, two at bed and two near floor, the comfy mattress, the quiet, easy control of the aircon and close parking were real highlights for me.nnAs I'm familiar with getting around the city, being based in James St was no problem for me. I will be back again.
Terrible nights sleep. Hotel location great, rooms very small but good beds. We had a room to the front and the noise all night was horrendous from the bars close by and people walking past, but also people in the corridors of the hotel. Why they don’t have better sound proofing, seems obvious, but doesn’t, would definitely not stay again.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sage Hotel James Street, and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm, friendly service that set the tone for an incredible stay.nnThe hotel’s modern and stylish design is both welcoming and comfortable. The room I stayed in was immaculately clean and beautifully appointed, with luxurious furnishings and a stunning view of the city. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the high-quality linens to the thoughtfully selected amenities.nnThe location of Sage Hotel James Street is perfect for exploring the vibrant area of James Street. With a range of trendy restaurants, boutique shops, and cultural attractions right at your doorstep, it’s an ideal spot for both relaxation and adventure.nnOverall, Sage Hotel James Street is a gem in the heart of the city. It combines luxury, comfort, and top-notch service to create an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a sophisticated and enjoyable stay.
This hotel is not 4 star hotel and not really worth the price. There are not really any services - no breakfast, room service comes from some restaurant nearby, gym & pool are actually 600m away from the hotel in not-so-nice public swimming pool.nnCleaning is also so-so. Room was not cleaned when I came back in the evening and reception told me that it was because of a public holiday. Sheets have also not been changed after 4 nights. There is barely natural light in the room and you either have to use the very bright big light or sit in the darkness.nnLocation is great though and there are many nice breakfast places and restaurants close by.
If pet-friendly to you means your pet is allowed to be alive in your hotel room, then yes, Sage Hotel is pet-friendly....nnIf pet-friendly to you means having a space your pet feels comfortable, that has things like an outdoor toilet or an indoor potty mat, a pet bed that has been washed recently, the ability to bark if they are a bit anxious, or to be left alone for some quiet time while the hoomans grab a spot of dinner, unfortunately this is next-level pet-friendly expectations of you and you should probably look elsewhere for a hotel room.nnAlso there are noooooo facilities at this hotel lol. They have some sort of deal with the local public baths and a rooftop pool that is almost a 25 minute walk from the hotel to use their facilities.nnAnd they are extremely expensive. Don't be shocked to pay over $400 a night for the privilege. Parking is $40. The in-room snack selection is non-existent and buying at the front desk is a terrible idea unless you like paying $10 for a packet of chips lol.nnPlus side, it's in a pretty rad location. Two ridiculously delicious bakeries are like a 1 minute walk away.
