Excellent apartment hotel. Generous rooms which are exceptionally well appointed. Very comfy bed, great shower and kitchenette. Pool facilities are tremendous, highly recommended. Aircon in the room is excellent and much needed as the external floor area is quite warm. Staff are delightful and very attentive. Lovely view over to Storey Bridge. Plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and a minimart downstairs. Parking/driveway to the rear of the hotel is excellent.
I stayed in a 2 bedroom altitude suite level ranges from 63-74 via their official site as a membership, costing around $910 for 3 nights, not too expensive and reasonably priced.nnSpeaking of transportation, the most economical way to come here is by taking the Airtrain from Airport to Central, and walk for around a quarter to here $23.3 per adult, OR take a taxi directly to here around $60.nnThere is Foodwork convenience store for grocery shopping just next to the front entrance but quite expensive compared to supermarkets, nearest one is Woolworths MacArthur like 10-15 minutes away.nnI did request for a room as high as possible because I want the best view. Therefore, I can’t thank them enough for giving me the highest level, 74, room 7401.nThe grandiose scenery literally includes the entire essence of the CBD, Story Bridge, Brisbane River, mountains, a little of sea, many other distant suburbs clearly. No other view angle than this in Brisbane has the competence of Meriton Adelaide highest level.nnI’ve visited Brisbane for the 4th time and this is arguably the best Brisbane stay out of 4. I stayed at Brisbane Skytower twice and requested high levels for both times floor ranges from 42-74 but it gave me 49 and 50, respectively, which was disappointing. On the contrary, I’ve stayed in multiple Meriton Suites and they never disappoint when it comes to customer requests. However, the only drawback is that they forgot to provide the detergents for clothes and dishes but it’s not that big of a deal.nnTo top off, absolutely will stay here again the next time I visit Brisbane, literally everything is perfect, 9.9 out of 10!
Absolutely splendid 2 bedroom Apartment. This place impressed us. Spacious with all necessary equipment. There was a washing machine and dryer with iron and iron board. Toaster and kitchen equipment. Also, coffee ponds for a coffee pond machine as well as a kettle. We were on flour 66 so had great views. The location was good, 30 minutes to walk to South Bank. The staff was extremely helpful and super welcoming. Will definitely stay there again. Great value for money. However the only negative is the is no where to park so had to pay the $50 to park my car in the car park below.
Stayed here for the first time normally stay at the one on herschel street as this was cheaper this time around. Room was clean , no real major issues can tell has some wear but can't complain price was good for a long weekend and a 5 star hotel. Service was good , long line when checking in but greeted with a smile. Location still handy , 15 minute walk to central train station. Would recommend if needing to stay in the city.
Overall, this is a convenient place to stay. The staff were professional and helpful, the room was spacious and generally clean although the floor itself was quite dirty, and while the TV in the living room did not work, there was another one in the bedroom so it wasn’t a major issue. The location is excellent, with many key sights within walking distance.nMy main concern relates to how marketing consent is presented during check-in. It was bundled together with a long list of standard terms that guests are asked to sign. It wasn’t obvious that agreeing also meant consenting to marketing communications, and declining to sign would effectively mean not being able to complete check-in. This gave the impression that agreeing to marketing was a condition of staying, rather than a separate optional choice.nIn addition, when my friend crossed out the line relating to marketing consent before signing, she was told that doing so did not count as refusing consent. Later, when connecting to Wi-Fi, I was again prompted to agree to marketing use of my data. When I asked reception whether there was a way to access Wi-Fi without agreeing, I was told there wasn’t. I was also informed that guests can complete a separate form to “suppress” marketing communications, and that guest data is retained indefinitely. This option and explanation were not mentioned during check-in.nThe stay itself was comfortable. However, marketing consent should be optional, and clearer, more transparent communication about data use, consent choices, and retention policies would improve the guest experience and allow guests to make informed decisions about their stay and how their personal data is used.nnI received my first marketing email from the company shortly after my stay, despite being informed that submitting the suppression form would prevent marketing communications. This suggests the process is clearly not functioning as explained!
