I’ve stayed at Meriton Suites twice now and really appreciate the convenience, cleanliness, and lovely staff. On both occasions, I booked dual single beds and unfortunately, both times the beds were incredibly hard.nAfter paying for a late checkout to enjoy a sleep-in, I found myself getting up at 4:00am due to how uncomfortable and aching my body felt from the mattresses. I casually mentioned it to staff on the way out, and they seemed a bit embarrassed, it’s clearly not the first time they’ve heard this feedback.nWhile the staff were genuinely lovely and helpful, I won’t be booking again until the beds are upgraded. For comparison, hotels like Nightcap Hotels proudly advertise the make of their mattresses - and they are actually comfortable.nLooking forward to returning in the future if the sleeping experience improves!
Great hotel with very easy connections into CBD. The facilities in the suite were great while some amenities in the room seemed a little old. The indoor pool was also fine.nnThere is a grocery store right next to the hotel, but I would avoid that, it is very expensive.nnWe had a great stay overall.
We rented one bedroom apartment for two nights. It was very spacious. There is a full kitchen which we didn’t use, but I can see it being useful for someone who stays longer period. The location was perfect for someone who wants to be in the middle of action while visiting the city. I would definitely look for Meriton Suites next time I travel.
We stayed for 2 nights when we flew into Brisbane to visit the Australia Zoo on our honeymoon. The hotel was a great value with a lot of in room amenities that made for a pleasant stay.nnThere was a washer/dryer with laundry detergent in the room and more available at the front desk and a full kitchen with utensils, pots, pans, and everything we needed to cook a meal.nnThere is a convenience store with some basics right next to the hotel lobby if you wanted to grab a frozen meal or pasta to make your own meal instead of eating out. It was slightly more expensive than a regular store but the location made it much more convenient to not have to go out far to get anything.nnThey had a way to stream from your phone or other device to all the TVs in the room and had decent wifi speds which was nice to use.nnThe only thing that detracted from our stay was the bathroom which was a little dingy and dirty with failing grout my wife was going to take a bath but decided against it after seeing the bath in person. We were able to shower without any issues however.nnFor such a low cost, this was a very nice option to stay at in Brisbane.
Fantastic location, walking distance to the Valley, CBD, including dining precincts at Story Bridge and Eagle Street. Our room needed minor maintenance on arrival but it was resolved swiftly upon request. There was construction noise within the building that we weren’t aware of, but otherwise, not the first or last stay here for us.
