Well I wasn’t going to write a review but after seeing all the other reviews I think I need to talk about the stay.nnCoffee machine didn’t work in the room, ordered food first night and I was advise the restaurant wasn’t open Monday, so ordered food over the phone said it would be 30mins 1.5 hours late after I rang them said it was on it way.nnThe next day after advising them coffee machine not working in room, so the next morning I could have a coffee in the morning in my room still not fixed lol.nnThat night went and got a meal in house in the restaurant, ask a few questions about the menu and then had to ask them if any special that day without them telling me order the steak and mash off the image on wall in level 3. Nothing like the image so disappoint. But a nice meal, Special for Tuesday.nnWent to the room and ordered breakfast over the phone for 6:45am. At 6:50 rang as I had appointments like everyone does and didn’t know or have order in system. Cancelled breakfast said I will come done and get it from the restaurant. Then coffee machine still didn’t work downstairs as well.nnThanks for the experience I feel you need too think about services to keep your clientsnnPeter
Excellent modern amenities. Spacious and sophisticated rooms, which cater to business executives. Efficient room service, with an array of menu choices. Also, this hotel provides a very tranquil setting, despite being situated in a bustling urban area. I would certainly book the Rydges again, if I ever returned to Brisbane!!
Edit-Emailed like they asked to follow up on the issues, all they could say was duly noted, no apologies for the experience or any accountability. Just goes to show once again they don’t care about customer service. Won’t be staying here again and telling everyone to avoid.nnFirstly my mum rang up about parking as the hotel doesn’t have their own parking which is ridiculous to begin with. The lady Annie was rude to her and just wanted to end the conversation quickly. We aren’t from Brisbane and they can’t just assume everyone is. We dropped off our bags early as we were there for the Ekka and the lady said she would call us at 2 when the room would be ready. We never got the call. Went to check in and our bags weren’t in our room. Turns out you had to put them on the trolley yourself and push them. For a $400 room you would think someone could help you. I have a whiplash injury and my mum should not have to push it. Saw other elderly people having to do it as well. What services are we paying for. The shower doesn’t have much of a barrier so it just floods. We only had one coffee cup between us. They don’t even offer free water. They also gave us the room card but didn’t tell us what level we were on or that you needed to use the card to use the elevator. The staff just seemed clueless and didn’t care. We also booked breakfast when we checked in, we get to breakfast and they don’t have us on the list. Luckily the restaurant people were understanding and let us in. Where is the communication with staff. Could hear other customers having issues in reception as well. The breakfast food wasn’t great either. The only 2 employees with sense was the bar tender and another guy when we went to check out. It was a great location for the ekka and other places in Brisbane but sadly won’t be wasting my money here again.
We wanted to sincerely thank all the Team for a fabulous event – our wedding last Saturday evening 3 August.nEverything without exception went consummately to plan with meticulous detail.nThe food was absolutely amazing – everyone commented about it, and the service equally brilliant.nA big shout out to Kamol, Liam and our Event Organiser Julie who left no stone unturned to have everything right in preparation.nWe remain extremely grateful of the kindness, care and supreme attention to detail we experienced.nThank you so much again for all your kind help.
While the location is nice, the hotel is not. The rooms may look good but it is just lipstick on a pig. The room I stayed in, had a coffee machine and cups but no sink to wash them except the bathroom which is peculiar also if you turn the shower on for about 5 or more minutes water flood's the entire bathroom as there is almost no lip to keep the water in the shower enclosure
