My family and I booked a room for the night before we were to depart on an overseas holiday as it was near our airport parking. When we arrived to our designated room, there were obviously people living in the rooms next door. That is obviously not a problem, but the guests had their things overflowing out the door and onto the sidewalk outside their room. It wasn't a great first impression, but we continued into our room, which was immediately next door. Upon entering the room, it appeared clean enough, but there was an absolute stench like old cigarettes and unwashed bodies. It wasn't coming from the bedding as it seemed clean but was coming off the carpet and curtains. The lights seemed to have exposed electrical wiring and were coming off the wall. We had kids with us and had to make sure we didn't use them. We weren't able to move rooms as the other rooms didn't have enough beds for our family. We ended up going to woolies and purchasing a carpet deoderizing spray and using the whole can on the carpeting and drapes in the room. It helped for about 30 minutes but the stench was back almost immediately.nWe had to rise around 3am to catch our flights so put our kids to bed about 8pm and tried to turn in ourselves. The people living there sat directly outside our door until after midnight chatting and having a good time. There was no sleep to be had for us unfortunately.nWe ended up staying because we didn't have a choice but will never do so again.
Our room was cancelled on the day of arrival even though we'd booked weeks in advance and we arrived within business hours.nMotel was nothing like the pictures on the website. No pool at all, no usable laundry, extremely dated room and bathroom, chipped tiles, mould on the ceiling in the bedroom.nAbsolutely do not recommend.
It's very old place but kept tidy and clean. It's a good place to lay your head for a few days or so. It seems theyre in middle of renovations at the moment,with pool out if action n work sites going on out front. Staff are friendly. Close to chermside n parks. n reception is falling apart. Rooms are not fully secure at all. Vanity unit cupboard is just hanging on fill of rusty hinges. Place definitely does not look like pictures as advertised. Lawns need doing. Washing machine is free dryer uses coins. On the bright side the beds are comfy.
It was a quiet place. Surprisingly clean. Stayed for 1 night. The owner was helpful enough to book a taxi for me. The only downside is no nearby facilities for food. I mean within walking distance. So be prepared until you are ready to either walk a fair bit or have a transport. WIFI was available
I can't be scathing enough about this filthy dump. Avoid at all costs. No TV for the 2 nights there, carpet disgraceful, torn filthy curtains, top of fridge and sides encrusted. Mirror even very dirty. NO bench except one with a whopping useless TV. Do not believe the photos, they must be 30 years old. The bathroom wall tiles had been painted but this is falling of in chunks! Bathroom floor, filthy. Never again! Disgusted! If we didn't need to be near the hospital we would not have stayed!!!!
