Not happy today returning a set of knives. The $400 set of timber knives were all mismatched colours. The product was not as indicated on the box as all the same colour. Nowhere on the box stated that the timber handles could be of different colours. The knives did not even match the timber stand. Then to be told I could not have the balance of monies owed with an exchanged different set. Given credit for balance to spend another day. Original supposed value of knife set was $1200.00. What a joke! Very disappointed. Will never shop at this store again. Advice: Make sure you open every product before purchasing from this store. Check every single item. Lost a valuable customer.
Have bought just about everything in my kitchen from these guys, over the years. Good range of decent stuff. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable for the most part. Everything is always on special.
Not very nice customer service!! Came in to return something as we bought a double up. One lady was on her phone and the one told us to come back the next day cause only a manager could do the refund.
Robins Kitchen have gone cashless, so I have recently found out. Very disappointed. I have used my card in store and online, so I was unaware of this. I go in there yesterday to purchase a $1 item, and they wouldn't take the $1 coin, saying they don't take cash. I wasn't going to use my card for $1 and be charged a fee so I didn't buy it. They've now lost an in store and an online customer. I won't shop there anymore.
Was refused cash at counter. Very rude service. Cash is still legal tender! If you don’t want my cash then I don’t want your product. Simple.
Manager Michelle has appalling customer service skills. Very rude, belittling and aggressive. Went to pay cash for my purchase today and was told we don’t accept cash. I asked why, I could not pay with cash and she said because I don’t want too and if you’re too poor to pay with your card you can’t purchase it. I said I’m not to poor to pay for the item, I am trying to pay for it with a legal tender of currency within Australia and she continued to be very rude and aggressive. She shoved my money back at me, causing it to fall off the counter. I asked to speak with the manager regarding her behaviour and she waved her hand around her badge and said I am the manager darling so you’re out of luck. I asked for the details of the area manger or who I can contact that is above her, to place my complaint and she refused to give them to me saying she doesn’t don’t have to give me any further information. Robins Kitchen - if you wish to only accept card payments, it would be helpful to have adequate signage to inform customers. At the entrance of the store would be handy rather than collecting the items you wish to purchase to make it to the counter to have your sale rejected because of your payment method.
Walked out of this store again today. Small sign at the door says "we are cashless - just for now". How long is "just for now"? It's been like that for about 2 years. If my cash is no good to you, your products are no good to me. Amazingly, there were several others walking out too, your staff are really tired of it and you don't seem to care.
I have no idea why people are annoyed about the fact that they don't take cash and flag the store for it. It is obviously not their decision and with covid ongoing, contactless payments are obviously the better way of paying. Yes, you may get some products cheaper online but some gifts in the store are better than online prices. you need to do the research, so stop blaming the staff for not telling you about the online deals. I am a supporter of this store, every time my hubby and I come in with purchase or without we always get good customer service. Someone is always asking if I need help and will give me my space when I tell them I am happily browsing. We bought the last swiss tech ceramic set with the free 9 knives set yesterday and i'm so happy with post xmas gift for myself.
Never again, went to buy a baking tray for my wife so not my normal shop took to counter, asked a question by male staff I think re loyalty card difficult to understand with mask. Then for my phone number, why suggested to assistant you do not need my number. Then went to hand over cash, NO card only. So told assistant the tray is yours as owing to my habit of many years I try to pay cash and do not always have a card. Very Rude no explanation, just a take it or leave it attitude. Bye Robins you will not see me again.
To describe in one word Terrible. Purchased knives "on sale " to get home and be told by a family member they do an additional 20% off online with a code. Approached the Loganholme branch purchased items at mount Gravatt the next day to be told " we don't do refunds only exchanges" I explained that I didn't need knives immediately, but wanted to get the extra 20% off $68 Was told that they do not have a click and collect system They cannot do refunds And they are not willing to match online price in store And I would have to go back to mount gravatt. All items were 1 day old, still in package with receipt. Drove the additional distance to go back to mount Gravatt to gain a refund and it was like pulling teeth , the sales assistant did not want to give a refund at all offered store credit ECT. Eventually gave a refund. Very disappointed that this level of customer service still exists. It does not seem like a suprise that they are having constant sales probably a breach of ACCC with sales slogans such as closing down /warehouse sale ECT. 2 thumbs down. Would not reccomened.
