Great food, loved the coffee! Serving staff were super friendly, Nat in particular was a gem, she was SO happy to make menu choice recommendations that were incredibly solid! We enjoyed the big brekky X 2, some excellent coffee that was good and strong and finished off with some tasty sweeties with our second coffees. Place had great views of the lake and mountains if you were happy to brave the cold, outside, we weren't and chose to sit by the open fire.... Great for young families and all comer atmosphere, full of happy servers and great food. Should be more than a 4.5 Google ranking in my view....
Fast service, great food, coffee was a little wait but they told us that up front and everything else was super speedy! Lovely way to start a slow morning in sunny Wanaka. Try the potato cake thingies they are crispy and light and delicious
Friendly, fast service and good food in a warm, cozy café. What more could you ask for, really? Bonus points for actually having a high chair AND a handful of toys to entertain the kiddos while they wait!
We popped in for a quick drink one early afternoon. Staff were quick and friendly and the café feels clean and warm. Would recommend
A delightful pace to eat at. Large seating area inside and outside tables as well. We went inside as it was a but chilly today. Quick table service, we both got seafood chowder which is a personal favorite for us both generally. The serving came in a small serving bowl which it did state in the menu that it was small but the chowder itself was packed with seafood and quite thick. I personally prefer a creamy chowder but I was pleasantly surprised at this combination of tastes. I enjoyed it immensely, also the nice slices of bread that came with it. Nice pot of tea to wash it down. Very reasonable pricing. On the lakefront roadside close to parking spots.
We shared a small plate of crunchy chicken with aioli and a large plate fish of the day. Each dish was delicious, multilayered flavors, beautifully cooked vegetables with fish of the day. I had pomegranate sorbet with freeze dried mandarin, my partner had double chocolate chocolate mousse and strawberries. Each was delicious and serving size was just right. Plenty of gluten free options for me. Prices were very reasonable for quality and serving size. Helpful wait staff.
Dropped by for breakfast. Great coffee, eggs benedict served by friendly and approachable service staff. Quick service too!
Arrived at this cafe and ordered mushroom soup. The soup was nice but taken for a ride by cafe. Needed to change order from eat in to takeaway so asked fir it in a cup. They Charged me 24 dollars for a cup of soup saying the bowl is a cup size. I questioned it but ended up paying. Should have walked out. It only gets two stars as the soup was nice but the price was a ripoff
Only had breakfast at this small cafe but it was the best scrambled eggs I had in Wanaka! the GlutenFree Cheese muffin was also awesome. Moccha was a but towards the sweet side but having a sweet tooth, it left me hanging for more. Totally recommended!
Excellent service, coffee and food. A very filling breakfast sufficient to skip lunch. Only a minor suggestion and that is the cooked breakfast should be served with a steak knife, it's a bit hard to cut through ciabatta toast or bacon with a butter knife. Place was crazy busy so we didn't want to bother the staff. Otherwise, just brilliant.
