A must visit if you are in Wanaka. It is so nice to go somewhere that serves delicious healthy food. All meat options are cooked incredibly well. Combining great flavours without overpowering the beautiful taste of the meat. Then the hot veggie and salad options don't just feel like a side to the meat. They are a meal in of themselves, again combining a beautiful variety of flavours into one superb dish. It is difficult to recommend a specific dish as they are all delicious. We had takeaway plates. The restaurant is incredibly busy, so be prepared to get takeaway plates. The lake is just across the road, and there are plenty of picnic benches, so you can still enjoy a hot, fresh meal with stunning surroundings. They have a little counter with some desserts. I had the chocolate orange cake, and it was delightful. Incredibly moist sponge with fresh taste of orange, then topped with a smooth, rich dark chocolate icing. Delicious!!
Before leaving Wanaka, we made a stop at Big Fig Wanaka, a Mediterranean-style breakfast spot. It’s kind of like a rice and curry place where you mix and match different dishes. And let me tell you—it’s absolutely delicious!
Hearty bowl of goodness. We had the meatballs and beef cheeks, both good but beef cheeks was the better of the two, tender n flavourful. Really enjoyed the sweet potato gratin, and highly recc the Orange cake with dark choc for dessert.
We had lunch at the restaurant and absolutely loved the experience! The food was healthy, flavorful, and incredibly fresh, making it a fantastic choice. The ingredients were clearly fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, creating a delicious and satisfying dish.nnDefinitely one of the best dining options in Wanaka! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in the area.
Wonderful healthy spot that leads by example for sustainability ideals! Love everything about how they approach serving their customers and the world. Meat and Three style menu American Southern’s are we familiar with coffee bar and homemade desserts. The lemon-strawberry parfait was exquisite!
