Kai Whakapai is a busy and seasonal cafe-restaurant-bar in Wanaka NZ. This page exists to help us recruit great staff and to post vacancies. Food was not great neither bad. After waiting 50 minutes for our order, we honestly expected delicious food because of the other reviews but it was not the case. It tasted simply ok.nService: you order in the counter, pay there and after they deliver your food. That's all.n4 starts because of the great location.
Nice ambience and great food.nnThe borsch was a little wierd but my wife liked it. The mushroom pizza was light and yet hearty at the same time. The carrot cake was so yummy and I enjoyed my coffee. Lots of nice craft beers as well.
Definitely go here. Sitting outside in the winter sunshine was a real joy.nnA restricted menu means the food comes out fast, and at a high quality.nnThe staff are friendly, efficient and can talk at length about the exceptional beer selection.nnDefinitely a play to stop on Wānaka
Excellent place for either breakfast or a dinner. They have a good view of the water, outside seating and quick service. We got the eggs Benny which was good but the hollandaise sauce could have used a bit more lemon to keep it from being too heavy. The chicken bacon mushroom pie was pretty good as well. They have plenty of options for all to eat here if either of those choices don't sound good.
Literally THE BEST almond croissant I have ever eaten !!! The pasty was crispy and like a pie crust, the filling was generous and it wasn’t burnt! We also had big breakfasts which were incredible. The bathroom was spotless and the service was second to none! Would highly recommend.
