Kai Whakapai is a busy and seasonal cafe-restaurant-bar in Wanaka NZ. This page exists to help us recruit great staff and to post vacancies. Nice place serving 16 draft local beers, hot and cold drinks plus cakes and warm food. The food cabinets by 1.30pm though were a nearly empty so may need to keep ready made meals going longer. Few pies and cakes only left. All the food being prepared though looked fabulous. Would definitely recommend. Easy access for wheel chairs and buggies with seating inside and outside under cover. Enjoy
A sublime brunch place which absolutely tops brunches I've had back home. Our mushroom toast and salmon toast tasted fresh and bursting with flavour, whilst our coffees gave us the right kick for the day. Service was incredibly helpful and friendly as well. It is also a good place to people watch!
In the early morning has a totally different vibe than the evenings. Anyhow, their breakfast were banging. The salmon and poached egg sandwich was just excellent and so was their coffee. Friendly staff and quick service. Beers in the afternoon is also a great idea here
Gorgeous food and beer, the loaded fries were 6 stars dish for mennWe ordered 2 pizzas and one chicken bites and the loaded fries for 4 people and it was really good idea to share and taste the food.
Great place for a feed and relax.nWe had coffees, Eggs Benny and my wife had the vege pie which was excellent.nThe location and atmosphere is perfect and clearly not just for tourists.nIf you stay long enough, you'll see locals swing in for their morning coffee and breakfast.nYou may even have the chance to chat with the owner over his breakfast.nThanks Nick.
