Ray White Benowa

You have a dishonest agent working in your establishment, will lie and say anything just to get some business. Tried to contact several of my neighbours which are all older and some of them almost fell for her tricks. Lucky my solicitors picked up on her shady deals and advised against it or else I would of been in very serious financial situation. Why do you try and trick old people?

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO DEAL WITH THIS AGENCY BEWARE! DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!! LEARN FROM OUR EXPERIENCE, DON'T TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY!! THIS REVIEW RELATES TO RAY WHITE SURFERS PARADISE AND THE OFFICE AT BENOWA GARDENS. Broadbeach Ray White have been great from our dealings. I don't usually rate this low but this particular franchise: 1) Bought a house through them and they pushed for us to sign contract on the day, the agent told us there was a building report performed and there was nothing wrong with the house (my fault for not insisting on the report, I'll know now not to trust people so easily). Two years down the track there are so many things wrong that would have been picked up if a building report was actually done. 2) Used them as property managers to rent the house out. This needs a section on its own really. The manager was non responsive. I was told by another agency that didn't even have my business my house had been cordoned off by police. I tried to contact my property manager and I could not get hold of them for several hours because She "wanted to get all the information before talking to me"! She had no further information to offer me apart from it being cordoned off anyway. Turns out the tenants were being investigated 3) Now I'm not a high maintenance landlord, I'm very trusting which seems to be my mistake dealing with this mob. I find out months later that i actually hadn't had a property manager for months and she went on maternity without even telling me nor our tenants, they didn't find someone to fill her position. I only found out because the tenants were contacting them about faults and found them to be non responsive. After months trying to contact them, I finally get through to someone on the shared phone number (the phone messages seems to have been ignored) 4) After needing to deal with the tenants directly anyway for about a year and a half since neither her nor I could get satisfactory property management, i decided to stop paying them property management fees and just manage the tenant directly. This is seriously not ideal seeing as we're actually interstate, but my tenant was going to move out in six months anyway and i did it to make a point (by this point the tenants were calling me directly for about a year and a half anyway). When ray white was suppose to hand the files over to me. They insisted i go into the office personally to pick up the files, when i asked why they couldn't just mail it to me they said i needed to pick up the keys, so instead of flying up i asked a friend to go grab it from their office. When the keys were suppose to be picked up they told me that they actually hadn't had a set of keys in the office (how were they managing the house without a set of keys???!!!). So if I had listened to their insistence, and if i didn't know anyone up on the coast that i trusted i would have spent money on return flights for nothing! THE AGENTS HERE ARE SERIUOSLY INCOMPETENT AND DISHONEST! I'm not saying they all are, but two out of two from separate departments paints a clear picture that the owner franchisees don't seem work on the business. IF YOU'RE READING THIS REVIEW WHILST CONTEMPLATING WHO TO USE TO MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY. Take your business elsewhere. First National on Chevron island were the people who told us about the police incident with the previous tenants, they had not earnt a single dollar from us but were local enough and proactive enough to have my number from when i was first calling around for a property agent and tell me about the incident. Ray White Broadbeach were great dealing with when my parents bought their house. Ray White Ascot (in brissy) were also great when we bought our home in Brisbane. The agent keeps close contact with us and is always updating us on whats going on in the market, not to mention he called us on the anniversary of our purchase and asked what flowers i liked so he could send some to us. Havig & Jackson: Toni is an amazing property manager. She is the best out there. I'm going to go write a review for her too now.
