After going to the Birkenhead store, where I was bitterly disappointed with the staff, who seemed more interested in socialising with each other. I called the Camperdown store where I was looked after by a young guy named George. He put the products aside for me and managed to turn around what going to be a poor experience into a very positive one. Great to see that you can still get good retail service!
Good service, good range and they even have a clearance sales! Jackets for these cold nights. Best thing was I could exchange my online purchase for another size with ease.. check it out.. limited parking as its on Parramatta Rd, but worth the travel big store with good variety clothing, gear, accessories, equipment and more.
Place has good collection of items.. But si called claim about what special on "Adventure Hub" stores is a joke. There is no specialist support person staff here to be honest. Person who i as led help regarding choosing a hiking shoe has less knowledge than me who gathered some info by watching a YouTube video. Some of the the things he mentioned also wrong..
Helpful staff and a good selection of items and great deals when on sale. The carpark isn’t the best/very small, it’s just easier to park on the street
Scooted in on illegal leccy scooters, because it seemed possible. Parked up, shopped, scooted out. No hair turned, no demur, no raised eyebrows. Huge range of rufty tufty outdoorsey things, some fairly imponderable, but found a suitable backpack for scootering, which was all I needed.
Most incredible service here! Came in and bought a new tent Oztent RV-3 and was amazed by how wonderfully accommodating the team were and how easy they made it for me. They got everything to the register for me, their price match guarantee is fantastic, they helped me get it to my car and load it in, and thanked me for being their customer. Will definitely be making Macpac Camperdown my first stop for all my camping, hiking and adventure needs from now on!
Situated on Parramatta Rd, in Camperdown. It has most of your camping needs. Friendly staff and good service.
Dean at this store is an absolute legend. After being mucked around, dismissed and lied to by Macpac Customer Care over the phone, Dean went out of his way to locate and ship a product to me – thank you! He has salvaged what has been a horrible customer experience with their office staff and Macpac would have lost a customer without him.
Good variety of goods, parking hard to find close. Need to ask for stock if size not on display. Pretty aggressive on marketing emails if you sign up as member. Good to purchase on sale as full price is very expensive
