The kids’ floor at David Jones Elizabeth St is amazing! My family was impressed by the Star Wars setup, which was engaging and fun for our kids—definitely a highlight of our visit. The selection of toys and interactive displays makes it a fantastic space for children. However, our experience in the women’s shoe section was disappointing. While the store itself is beautifully arranged, the customer service from the ladies in the general shoe section there were unhelpful and made us feel unwelcome. Playing on your phone and snobbish behaviour is vulgar. We hope management can address this, as it took away from an otherwise great visit.nLady at Valentino was fantastic, helped me pick a beautiful addition to my collection
DJ’s in the city, has this Xmas corner, and they have the best coffee table books. The space was used to wine display. They’ve turned a floor to ceiling wine fridge into a book shelf! And the previous wooden wine display units into coffee table books display holders - a work of art!

Hello, I am a customer of David Jones.nnI am 63 years of age, and I have been viewing the David Jones Christmas windows with wonderment, every single year, since I was 6 years of age!!nnContinuing the family tradition, each year, I have viewed the windows with my husband and 4 children and now with my grown up children, their spouses and my many grandchildren.nnWe are so enthusiasitc, that we have made our way from the Blue Mountains where we lived for 13 years, little kids in tow, and these days, some of us make our way down from the Central Coast for the yearly event.nnIt does not matter whether it is pouring with rain, or stinking hot, you will find our family there every year.nnEach Christmas the new little readers of the family, take it in turn to read out the Christmas stories to all who will listen. I love watching all their little faces pressed up against the windows, listening to the story. Some of the grand children just jump up and down continually, not knowing how to react to the feelings that they have in their excitement.nnSome nights, the windows are busy with other children and families, completing their own Christmas traditions in viewing the David Jones windows.nnI am writing because I have heard that the Christmas windows will not be displayed this year. I hope this is just a nasty rumour!!nnI know that I am a little naive, but to me, David Jones is a store that is known to have a 'heart' because of their displays at Christmas time.nnCould you please confirm?
Currently in minute 20 of a 10 minute wait to buy products from David Jones. Terrible customer service. We were told to wait as someone was on their break and apparently no one else could operate the cash register despite there being scores of other employees. The lesson? Buy online from any other retailer. David Jones is trash.
