We went to Tasmania and honestly it felt like a hidden paradise. Thank you so much, Daniel and Dana, for creating such a beautiful and unforgettable place. Everything was beyond amazing — the homemade food, the sauna, the peaceful natural surroundings, and the warmth and care you put into every little detail.nnYou can truly feel the love, quality, and soul behind what you do. It wasn’t just a stay, it was an experience that made us feel relaxed, connected, and happy. The atmosphere was so special and calming that it’s hard to put into words. We already miss it and will definitely come back again. Highly recommended to anyone wanting something genuine, peaceful, and magical.
Recently visited DJ's Elizabeth St in the jewellery section. There's a young man unfortunately forgot his name and another young lady Emma? salespersons who were very helpful and went out of their way to check if there was an available box for the jewellery box we purchased. Such great service! This is one good reason why I shop at DJ's. Thank you for your assistance!nThey also assisted to have the item gift wrapped so the team at the gift wrapping section were also lovely April 2026
I had such a wonderful shopping experience thanks to Lorena at Chanel and Rachael at Prada. Both of them were incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They made me feel comfortable and genuinely cared about helping me, without ever making me feel pressured to buy anything.nnTheir positive energy, professionalism, and patience made the whole experience so enjoyable. They took the time to answer my questions, gave honest recommendations, and created such a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.nnCustomer service like this is truly appreciated. Thank you, Lorena and Rachael, for making my shopping experience so memorable. I’ll definitely be looking forward to coming back!
Dear Customer Service Team,nnI am writing to lodge a formal complaint regarding an unpleasant experience I had at the David Jones Elizabeth street store in Sydney B1 level on Friday, 24 July, at approximately 6:20 pm.nnI visited the store to purchase a loaf of bread from the bakery section. After selecting my item, I spent several minutes trying to find an open checkout but was unable to locate one or any staff member available to assist.nnI then approached the cashier in the kitchen appliances section. The cashier, who was an older Indian woman, was serving another customer. I politely asked whether that register was open. Instead of responding courteously, she looked at me with obvious irritation and replied, “I’m with a customer.” I immediately apologised and said, “Oh, I’m sorry.”nnWhat happened next was what upset me the most. She looked directly at the loaf of bread I was holding, then looked back at me and gave what appeared to be a sarcastic, mocking smirk. Regardless of her intention, her facial expression made me feel ridiculed, embarrassed, and deeply uncomfortable.nnI left the store wondering whether buying a single loaf of bread was somehow something to be mocked. No customer should ever feel humiliated because of what they choose to purchase. Whether someone spends $5 or $5,000, every customer deserves to be treated with dignity, courtesy, and respect.nnI understand that retail employees can be busy and under pressure, especially in the evening. However, being tired or occupied is never an excuse for displaying disrespectful behaviour or making a customer feel unwelcome through dismissive words or mocking body language.nnDavid Jones has built its reputation on premium customer service. Unfortunately, my experience at your Pitt Street Sydney store fell far below those standards and left me with a very negative impression.nnI respectfully ask that you investigate this incident, including reviewing CCTV footage from the B1 level at approximately 6:20 pm on Friday, 24 July, and speak with the staff member involved. I hope appropriate action is taken to ensure that no other customer is made to feel humiliated or disrespected in the same way.nnThank you for your time. I look forward to your response regarding how this matter will be addressed.nnKind regards,
As I live in a rural area, I have no choice but to order online for most of my needs. There are many occasions that I have questions that can only be answered by staff who work in a specific area, although good luck getting through to them. Time and time again, customers and employees of David Jones stores are frustrated no end at this useless 'virtual assistant', who hasn't a clue what assist means! It only makes me so angry that I feel like throwing my phone across the room from pure frustration. Let's not forget just how many times it loves to hang up the phone on me. It is the most useless idea your store has ever had, yet you do NOTHING to fix the problem. You definitely know there is a problem from the endless reviews that state this, but you simply do not care. The waiting times are ridiculous, so are the couple of staff you have to answer calls directed to Customer Service. That hideous music blasting through my phone whilst on hold for over an hour each time doesn't help either. As no-one answers the phone from the counters, if lucky enough to get through to one, I just ask for Customer Service instead. The 'virtual assistant' then asks again whether I'm sure I want to speak to them and rattles off a list of other unsuccessful ways in which to resolve issues. When someone answers, it sounds as if they are answering from home, as I often hear children or dogs on the other end. I have now discovered that the Customer Service hours have been whittled back to only four hours each day! Honestly David Jones, do you want customers or not??? As the way in which you are going, it certainly doesn't appear as if you do.nFor crying out loud, hire human beings as staff members who can answer the main line, NO 'VIRTUAL ASSISTANT'! You've tried it and it failed long ago. Get staff who can speak and understand the English language to answer the phones at each counter, whilst making sure they have a thorough knowledge of the items they are selling.nWhy are you still in business when you make it very clear that you do not care about the experience of the customers? It's a fact of life that things go wrong or items arrive broken etc. In these cases, we need to talk to human beings. Stop being lazy and overly stingy with the money it costs to hire humans to answer phone calls. If only you knew the amount of money you have lost from myself, due to purchasing elsewhere when possible. All due to your despicable 'service' to your customers. If you need someone to whip your Sales Staff into shape, then I'm more than happy to do so. They need to understand that each phone call they ignore could potentially be a large sale. It boggles the mind why you do not bother to improve your Customer Service and fix the vast errors with your communications. Seriously, we've more than had enough!!! Either smarten up or close down!
