I chose Quest thinking it wasn’t the most budget option As it wasn't the cheapest available, so I expected a bit more even though I knew it was more on the budget friendly side. The staff were absolutely lovely and the location is fantastic, but the overall feel of the hotel was disappointing. The front of the building gives the impression that it’s going to be quite nice, but once inside it felt very different.nnWe stayed on level 2 and the hallways were dark and dingy. The walls and doors were very badly scuffed and definitely overdue for a paint. It honestly felt more like a low budget apartment. The room itself was clean, but had that dated “modern” look that doesn’t quite hold up anymore Just in the overall maintenance.nnThe shower was great though Temp/pressure etc and I did love the shampoo and toiletries provided. Unfortunately, the bed was really uncomfortable and the air conditioning was so loud it sounded like we were on a plane. It also didn’t seem to cool properly, more like evaporative cooling than refrigerated, so we ended up turning it off and opening the windows. Due to these factors, we had a really bad night's sleep.nnOverall, I wouldn’t stay here again. It felt more like a cheap apartment block than a comfortable hotel stay, which is a shame because we’re not fancy people, just expected something a bit nicer.
Location is close to tram stop and a short walk to supermarket and restaurants. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Front desk staff were helpful and a great source of information about the area. Will definitely stay there again.
I was attending a course at the Alfred, so the location was excellent. Lots of places to eat close by.nThe apartment was spotless.nThe reception staff were friendly and helpful.nThe only improvement would be some decent coffee in the unit, but the cafe 100m away was open from 5 am, so I did not go without my early brew!
The location was great, close to tram stops. Most of reception staff were very helpful, there were a couple who forgot about customer service and why they were there. The room was clean and comfortable. I ate in the Restaurant each night and the food was very good. Nicole was fantastic she was very busy and she was very attentive to her customers.
I travelled to Melbourne for a conference and stayed at Quest St Kilda. The location was great - just close enough to the conference venue, and right next to a number of tram links. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!
