Really loved our stay here. Booked a room with extra large bed and it was so comfy and clean. Room was very spacious and had everything we needed. Bathroom was small, but had everything we needed and water pressure was spot on. Very clean throughout room, view of st kilda road through gorgeous large windows was very pleasant! Loved how quiet the location and hotel was in general. Staff very patient and happy to explain everything including car parking and didn’t hesitate to book a taxi for us.nBe very happy to return!
It was quite a good stay, stayed here at an apartment 207 for 4-6 weeks. Until 23.2.25nAfter check out I never got my bond back !nWtf ?nNo answer on my emails, or calls…nThey just kept 500$ and that’s it..nmaybe someone will answering here on my feedback. That’s a no go !
I did not feel safe!!!nI checked in and they gave me my key I went to my room and opened the door to find an older man standing in the middle of my room. I was quite shocked and went back to reception and explained the situation. They proceeded to tell me that it was in fact my room, without any communication to me about what had happened they gave me another room. I went to that room and the key didn’t work. I then went back to reception and they had to fix it not one sorry the whole timenI could not sleep as I was worried someone could access my room the way I accessed the other man’s room.nnThe hotel is beautiful but not cleaned properly. Showers were grotty and had not been scrubbed for a while by the looks of the red discolouration that wiped away with a towel :/nI will not return.
The Kinson is not the best hotel in town but it represents very good value and the location is excellent. The rooms are quite well appointed but the position of some TV's are not great especially for viewing in bed.nnBalcony rooms are excellent for those that prefer fresh air rather than air conditioning. Some rooms have a good size fridge which suits those that bring their own food. There are cooking facilities but no pots/pans are in the rooms.nnWhile there's no room service there's a very good cafe metres from the front entrance and a good quality Italian restaurant is open downstairs for dinner.nnThe housekeeping staff are generally very good, courteous and helpful.
I have no complaints about staff at reception they were fine. My problems are mainly that the rooms are overpriced for what they are. Cleanliness needs to be improved and I noticed stains on the sheets and the duvet looked like it had never been washed properly. The kitchens are under equipped with utensils. Items are not replenished during daily housekeeping. I think these small matters can easily be addressed to improve the overall visitor experience.
