Easy to get to by tram service, car satnav may drop you at property next door around corner from hotel. Lovely open plan reception area with ramp access. Booked 3 night stay as visiting from UK. Room very modern, neat kitchen area that blends into a dining table then sleeping area. Two sides of room had glazing with one onto balcony. Bathroom beautifully fitted out. Lovely use of mirrors and frosted glass doors. Bed super comfortable with pristine bedding. If you needed something that was not in room the staff kindly would try to resolve it. Example was access to saucepans which come in clear box when requested. Bonus is a combi microwave. What made our stay so pleasing was a very professional receptionist called Alice. From Italy , beautifully spoken has a hint of Ireland in her tone. Her demeanour was without question best we have ever experienced. Professional in her service but the cherry on the cake is her personality and attitude towards guests. She always smiled, always asked how we were, offered advice on the area, represented The Kitson to highest standard and importantly was very sociable. Her peer was also very helpful but it was Alice who made our stay so enjoyable. Thank you Alice
Stayed for Anzac Day.nPhenomenal room and Awesome location.nnVery odd that all members of my family had to show ID first time that’s ever happened and when asked why, the gentleman’s response was ‘because they are staying here’ then called my partner - my friend in a really sarcastic manner. It’s amazing how first impressions are everything, luckily for the hotel I had already paid for the hotel room, otherwise I would have walked out.nnAs stated, absolutely phenomenal rooms and great location.
I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. After returning home and unpacking, I realized that my Guerlain hairbrush, valued at AU$302, was missing. Thinking back, I clearly remember seeing the brush only during the first two days of my stay. After that, I don’t recall seeing it again. I am absolutely certain that I never took it outside the hotel.nnAfter discovering it was missing, I contacted the hotel reception by both phone and email. They told me nothing was found in the room after I checked out. At that time, a new guest was already staying in the room, and I was informed they would check again after that guest checked out on Tuesday. I followed up with another email on Tuesday.nnSince then, I have not received any response. No follow-up, no update. While I understand that things can get misplaced, the lack of communication and accountability from the hotel has been very disappointing. I’m not accusing anyone—I simply wish the situation had been handled with more care and professionalism.nnUnfortunately, I won’t be staying at this hotel again
Clean, comfortable rooms which easily fit our family. Reception staff were amazing by completing an extra special request made.nLocation was perfect!
Very close distance to Alfred Hospital. Stayed here with my fiance and his Mum. Surprised we were given a interconnecting room. Car parking slightly confusing but call button is available for help. Check in great and same with check out. Nice view of St Kilda and looking outwards. Car parking is $45 with a guarantee. Suitable for cars and SUVs. Bedding was comfortable. Great night sleep. We will be back again
