Just had a 3 night stay at the Dorsett. Ticked all the boxes for us.nGreat location. Easy walk to trams and most inner city restaurants & cafes.nLovely room & amenities.nIt was my birthday, and the kind lady at the front desk upgraded us & brought up a nice bottle of Pinot. I'm sure that doesn't happen open, so I'm quite thankful for the lovely service.nWill definitely stay here again!
My recent stay at the Dorsett was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment my friend and I stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with a warm reception that immediately set the tone for our entire experience. One of the standout features of our stay was the incredible staff. Not only were they friendly and welcoming, but they were also incredibly helpful throughout our time there.nnSpeaking of the room, it was immaculately clean and well-maintained. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, which provided us with peace of mind during our stay.nnWe also tried out the breakfast buffet as well as the bar downstairs, both of which were exquisite. The breakfast buffet offered an array of options that catered to every palate. As for the bar, it exuded a cozy atmosphere that was perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The decor was charming, and the bar staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.nnI can't recommend this hotel highly enough and can't wait to return for another memorable visit!
Absolutely loved my 1 night stay here. A new hotel with beautiful Melbourne art deco decor. I didn't get a chance to check out the facilities outside the room, unfortunately, due to time restraintsnBeds were comfortable, pillows very soft. My only small slight is, not everyone who travels together are a couple and privacy in the shower is a bit tricky with opaque glass seen from the room. Something to consider if not travelling solo. I was with my sister so not an issue for us. Would prefer the option to turn it dark if someone is in the shower.nBeautiful hotel very close to Southern Cross station.nWould recommend.
We had a wonderful stay at Dorsett Melbourne, definitely one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at, which is so nice! Especially when you have a shower/ are in the bathroom and are not greeted by grime. Also special shout out to Blair at the Valet Service for his impeccable customer service. Really lovely man, who is good at his job. He was friendly, informative and a genuine nice person. He deserves to be recognised for his work ethic. Other staff were friendly, breakfast was nice. Only improvement is to accept cash, as cashless isn’t ideal.
Would have been 5 stars for rooms and service, valet parking isn't really up to scratch as there's no valet waiting for you, need to park on the street and remind the staff you booked valet then they take your keys and ask where you parked.nRoom was beautiful, bed was very hard and the LED light on the sensor is directly above the bed, I had to cover the light to get to sleep, Pool and spa are beautiful .nStaff are great and had a mattress topper fitted when we informed them the bed was hard.nI would stay again
