Booked a 5 night stay in this lovely hotel through Luxury Escapes. Our deluxe twin room was clean, spacious and comfortable with the cushioned window seat a beautiful bonus. The daily breakfast was extensive and varied with the pancake maker and mini pastries a highlight. We relaxed at the end of each day with a drink in Jin Bar. Room service was quick, food was hot and delicious. Indoor pool and spa were great and loved the towels were provided at the pool.nnWhilst at the western end of the CBD we found the location to be perfect with a tram stop at the end of the street that took you anywhere in the CBD for free.nnThe epitome of any good property is its staff. This is where the Dorsett shines. From the moment we walked in the door nothing was a problem. The staff were friendly, accommodating and take pride in making sure you enjoy your stay. Compliments to Elizabeth on the front desk, Mark who helped us recover souvenirs that blew away in wild winds the day checked out and a special shout out to Naveen Food & Beverage Manager who greeted us every morning at breakfast with a natural smile.nnWould recommend this hotel to anyone wanting an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
My husband and I decided to stay at the Dorsett in Melbourne for our tenth wedding anniversary and it was exceptional! We unintentionally booked our stay during the Australia Open so the hotel was quite lively and busy with patrons attending for the tennis. Despite this, we felt well cared for and had an amazing experience. Jeffrey, who checked us in, upgraded our room and when we arrived in the room there was a lovely card signed by lots of staff, and some complimentary chocolates. We definitely were not expecting special treatment but it was thoughtful and really meant something to us. The room was gorgeous too, and the amenities fantastic - particularly the pool and sauna area! Jin Bar in the lobby was a great spot for pre-dinner cocktails and had a great happy hour special too. Thank you so much Dorsett Melbourne, you really made our stay so warm and welcoming! We will be back.
Absolutely amazing stay at Dorsett Hotel. Everything was exceptional — from the beautifully appointed rooms to the outstanding breakfast each morning. The room was comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to relax straight away. Breakfast was a real highlight with great variety and quality. Service throughout the hotel was friendly and professional, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend and would happily stay again.
Stayed before Christmas.nnFront house reception staff were standoff-ish at best. When asked if they would work with us on a booking with my colleague in from an OS flight and sleeping.....would not check me in and sort the payment through a corporate booking and hour or two later once he was up.nn$200 for 2 nights of parking....crazy but Melbourne I guess.nnCame back down to reception to ask for directions, got told to use my phone. Not helpful and rude generally.nnRoom was reasonable and appointed.nnBreakfast was ok, nothing to write home about but the basics provided. Was hard when in and out to get to work but could not get basics like juice and one food type one of the days. Got told its getting topped up but never happened.nnClose to good food options in walking distance.nnBetter places and service to stay in Melbourne for the money our business paid for this.
I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The staff were attentive and professional, making me feel welcome from arrival to departure. The room was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The breakfast offered a great selection, and the service was quick and polite. The location was very convenient and safe. I also loved the quiet and relaxing pool area. Everything about my stay was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
