We stayed at the hotel to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed during their 1st year celebration and we were greeted with free donuts on arrival. The check in was efficient, all staff were lovely. We were gifted a lovely chocolates as well as beautiful card signed from various staff members with well wishes on our anniversary. Our child enjoyed the pool as well as the kids friendly area close to reception. I would definitely visit again.
Stayed overnight for my birthday, had a lovely surprise with a birthday card, bar of chocolate and some balloons, a very nice touch indeed. We arrived early, checking was smooth and we were allowed entry to our room early as well, which was a bonus. Staff friendly, position of hotel was very handy. The only downside was we had no toiletries, no water In the fridge. Storage was very sparse, but ok for 1 day stay. Overall a good hotel, definitely be back again.
Great location and dog friendly. Please open the gym and pool to the dogs and be the first of that true dog friendly hotel.nnAs long as the pets are in an appropriate bag or container, I don't see why it would bother anyone as this is limiting the family experience of the hotel facility.nnService need a lot of improvement, staffs are not friendly, no smiles and they seem to employs random people from the streets . Some of the housekeeping and concierge looks very dodgy, even made us uncomfortable as he looked very drumk and not presentable for a 4 stars hotel and even the housekeeping staffs has no idea how to greets their customers, zero hospitality.nnOur room was not make up until very late in the afternoon.nnSo much improvements need to be done, it has potential to be one of the top hotel.
Booked a 2 night getaway and to be honest we were disappointed. The room was nothing special, we knew it was at the Southern Cross end of town but it’s a longer walk into town than you’d realise. The included buffet breakfast was very average and the overall hospitality wasn’t great. We paid for the balcony upgrade and unfortunately the person/people in the room next door were constantly smoking weed. The desk were helpful when we let them know about it which was good. I don’t think we’ll stay here again.
Booked Dorsett for my husbands birthday last night. Wanted to have a relaxing night for him as we left our two kids with family. Had a massage then went straight to the hotel to go into the pool. Says the pool is heated online. The pool was freezing and the spa fits Max 5 people and that was overly full. honestly was shattered as we wanted to relax. Breakfast wasn’t worth it. You need more of a variety for people who don’t eat pork. Rooms on the other hand were very nice. The bed was also very comfortable.
