dont do chemistry, run fast in the opposite direction. i could say so much more negative stuff about how this system ruined peoples' vital grade 11 n 12 years. however, i do thank qcaa for saving me from seeing my external exam feedback. i dont think there could be any worse fate leaving school than having to listen to the people you went to school with blab on and on for the next two months about how they got so n so question wrong when you just want to be done with it. the last thing i want to hear is you complaining about a question redox reactions you got wrong months later.
This curriculum stripped any joy that could be found in my subjects and made my senior schooling absolutely miserable. Creativity is not supported or cultivated under this curriculum. especially when every creative subjects grades are adjusted to be even lower . My favourite subject became the one I hated the most. Would rate 0 stars if I could.
ima be so fr you guys are ruining students' lives when you should be trying to help forge them xx. like seriously if you guys ever decide to ammend this sh1++y system, I want compensation.
Okay, so Jesus really died 2000 years ago for OUR sins on the cross, and you're telling me that not a single member of the QCAA "board" has been crucified upon a Roman cross? A standard was set. You did not follow. I thought we were better than this.
Qcaa is literally George Orwell's 1984. Even Joe Biden could make a better education system. 10/10 would suffer again.
Ruined my schooling experience. ATAR is a horrible and stressful system. 0/10. Would not recommend.
QCAA a little suggestion - starting Year 12 exams on a Deepavali day on Oct 24 was a little inconsiderate multi-culturally. My son cannot really celebrate with us and it is not real festival for us. It is like starting a exam on a Chirstmas day. Would really appreciate if you can consider this in coming years.
The system is heavily flawed. I don’t understand how conformation teachers can mark something down without providing proper reasoning of why the student lost the mark. It seems like they are trying to look for errors rather than trying to back up the original mark. Also how is it fair that one teacher doing conformation can mark you down when multiple other teachers at your school have cross marked your result and all agree. Surely there is a better way???
Initially gave one star, but relative to VCAA and NESA, QCAA was more reasonable
I have only just been made aware of this "organisation ??". We were guardians for our grandson while he did years 9 to 12, and we were relatively happy with his progress until year 12 when everything about him seemed to change for the worse. We noticed that he, and a lot of his classmates were having a lot of difficulty with the curriculum, and many of them were displaying evidence of confusion and frustration. We thought it was just the "strain" of doing year 12, but have since found that most of them were showing signs of depression. My reason for coming on this site was to try to contact QCAA about his final results for his high school years, as neither he nor us have seen any. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when I saw the reviews !! It would seem that the whole "scheme" is thoroughly messed up and needs a complete re-design. Like a lot of people's comments on here, I want to give a 0/5 rating, but the "system" won't allow it. I hope that there is some action taken to correct this situation for the benefit of our future students.
