Services Australia SA Stones Corner has a New location. They’re still on Logan Road but now they’re inside the Stones Corner shopping/restaurants strip on the opposite side of the road to the pub and down a bit. Anyway I’ve been to this new office twice in the last week or so after booking an appointment online for each appointment. As soon as you walk in there’s a touch screen kiosk for you to enter the reason why you’re there. There’s staff there to help if you have trouble. After I entered my CRN it asked me if I was there for my appointment and then sent me a queue number via text to my phone and then waited in the waiting area in the new clean chairs. At each of my appointments staff were pretty much on time, very helpful and friendly. At my first appointment, while I was waiting for my queue number to be called, an SA staff and security officer had to deal with a “customer” who was being an a**hole and had to be escorted out. A few minutes later my number was called and I was served by the same SA staff member who’d just dealt with the problem “customer”. I was quite impressed that considering the stressful event which he’d been involved in only moments earlier he was still very professional and quite friendly when he served me and he resolved the issue in a few minutes. After my second appointment l, at which my issue was also quickly resolved, when I got back to my car I realised I’d lost my reading glasses. I went back to the SA office and the staff were very helpful and did a search for me, even shifting chairs in the waiting area to see if they’d fallen under them. Great service. Thank you.
This place is open! I checked the reviews on Google before visiting, as I had already failed several times to access Services Australia — even in Sydney. I was really frustrated that many government facilities don’t update their addresses after moving.nnI first went to the Woolloongabba branch, but they told us rather rudely that there was no Medicare staff available that day and directed us to the Stones Corner branch. The Stones Corner location has moved, but it’s still in the same area.nnAfter a long, exhausting journey and multiple failed attempts over more than a month — even online — we finally managed to apply for Medicare here.
Didn't realise this Branch was closed at this address, tried to search online but came up with this address. If I didn't look on my Google Maps and found it was a few minutes walk away to the new branch office we would've never known where it had moved. But apart from that the staff at the new location were awesome and helped my daughter out and very welcoming as she is new to Australia.
Please ! If youre in a vulnerable situation-- CHOOSE ANY OTHER SERVICES FOR HELP! the last thing people need when they need help is to be treated badly.nnI went in on thursday for help regarding Medicare and family services and wish I didn't.n2 older women, one with short brown hair and glasses and one with long greying hair both talked to me like I was thick.nI pride myself in always respecting and being kind to anyone in a place of service but these women should not be in service, the brown haired one talked AT me when 'answering' my query and from what I gather, was trying to insinuate me or my family might claim we earned less to get more family assistance? Preposterous and when I said that it wouldn't happen, she kept on saying the same thing over in a more direct and rude tone. Saying 'I'm telling you that's what would happen if you claimed you earned less'nI'm not sure why she was saying that since it wasnt relevant at all, and the poor pretty younger woman with black hair was being trained by her, I can't imagine having to watch my trainer talk to people like that all day. The younger woman was patient and polite.nThe other woman came over because the other 2 were unable to help with medicare, this woman actually laughed at me for asking if she needed me to come with her at that point to send or show an email.nPeople only come to you because they need help, laughing at someone who needs help is such an unkind thing to do, people who don't work for centerlink don't know the ins and outs and that's why we come to ask!nnI left in tears with my 4 year old in my arms, since the way they had spoken to me was so unjust.nI've never had an experience like that in that centerlink before, and I've been in there a couple of times.nThese women will take the wind out of your sails if you're not careful and I dread to think what they'd behave like to someone who didn't speak English.nPlease can someone train these women that even if they may have had awkward customers during the day- each person they talk to is a new situation.nWe all need to be kinder to eachother
Karen helped me with my Medicare enrolment today and she went above and beyond for me, I am so appreciative! Every single staff member I interacted with were so kind and made me feel comfortable.
