Great location but that’s as far as I would go.nHonestly wish I read reviews before booking a room here.nChecked in to room 52 and walked out as quick as we got in. Mould all over windows and curtains was the start. Went and informed reception that we weren’t happy with our room and asked for some cleaning supplies to clean the mould. Reception came and had a look and offered us to change rooms. We took room 51, rippled carpet, full of cobwebs, mouldy dishwasher, used mouldy sponge to wash our dishes, dirty coffee cups, dirty range hood and oven, washing machine wouldn’t work and was filthy, dryer duct taped together, hair all through the room, window doesn't stay closed without jamming a pole in it, bedside lamp cords duct taped, terrible repair jobs to the walls. Reception happily take a $100 security deposit but they aren’t keen on providing any refunds on rooms. We had 2 young children and are both asthmatics. Ok if you have no standards. I stopped taking photos as it got worse the more we looked around
We arrived here needed a 10 day stay but unfortunately was fooled by the 4 star rating. This place was once Quest, but now is not. Our room was roomy , had a modern bath room but had not been cleaned. There was hair on the floor and scum and mould in the shower. Evidence of holes in the walls throughout and carpet warn and smelly. You can also here the residents next door, they are so loud.. all night. The old pipes in the walls bang and clang when they do their washing during the night . After day 2 of no sleep the friendly staff moved us to another room but unfortunately smells like strong cat pee and had spiders , hair and was generally untidy. We ended up receiving a refund and went somewhere else.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Nice Hotel with great bathroom, comfortable bed. Nice basic Kitchen with Full size fridge and Microwave. Lovely helpful Manager. Very close to State Basketball Centre. Needs renovating as rather run down. Restaurant made our stay miserable. On the Friday Night very very loud music and DJ plus guests kept us awake till 3:30am, given we had to be at the Stadium by 6:30am it was nightmarish. The second night I spoke to both Hotel Manager and Restaurant staff member Restaurant is not owned by Hotel about the level of noise. It could be heard everywhere clearly in the apartment even over the TV which we gave up watching. If you want to stay on a Friday or Saturday night and actually get a nights sleep I would not recommend staying here
Room was okayish, aircon was rattling bad, bathroom door was broken on the outside, main door did not lock from the outside without using the inside lock. The fridge barely kept the drinks I had in there cold. Friends staying in another room had people creeping outside their door and attempting to open it until I came across and they saw me and ran off, then proceeded to return after I had returned to my room. Would not recommend if you can avoid it
I stayed at Knox International Hotel and Apartments recently and unfortunately, my experience was mixed. The first room I was given was not up to standard — it was unclean and had noticeable damage, including large holes in the wall. I brought this to the attention of reception, and they were extremely helpful and understanding, promptly moving me to another room. Their professionalism and genuine care made a difficult situation much easier to handle.nnDuring my stay in the new room, I experienced some disturbances from the neighbouring room, where guests were aggressively banging on the internal wall around 8 and 9:30am. Reception once again responded quickly and offered to move me, but I declined as I was recovering from a serious medical procedure earlier in the week.nnOn the last night, a large group gathered in the hotel car park which felt intimidating as a solo guest, though it didn’t continue for long. Additionally, cigarette smoke from outside easily drifted into the room, and the lack of soundproofing made it difficult to rest comfortably.nnOverall, the facilities could definitely use some maintenance and better noise insulation, but the staff were absolutely lovely — they showed genuine care and did their best to make things right. With some improvements to the rooms and general environment, this hotel could provide a much better experience for guests.
