Bait & Switch. Spent one year @ 16c per KW - which was best offer in my area - then email renewal sent to me with no notation to suggest other than I should re-new and everything would continue as normal ....BUT .....when you look at the tariff it has INCREASED by over 100% 16c to 35c per KWh. Dishonest and bordering on criminal in my opinion.

UPDATE: for those experiencing the same issue I detailed below, contact the Energy and Water Ombudsman in your state and the Australian Energy Regulator and your MP. We finally had our bill somewhat reduced but we all need to stand up and tell Qenergy these anti consumer and opportunistic business practices won’t be tolerated. Each ombudsman complaint they receive costs them a little $$ too - so won’t hurt! ***** Would give 0 stars if possible. They hiked our energy price by 3 fold after our first 12 months. They gave 26 days notice (in fine print) of the change and it took at least 10 to change over retailers. They pinged us with a bill comparable to a month supply for only a few days. Never use with these opportunistic suppliers. Truly - it’s clear they just people prey on people who don’t or can’t read their fine print. I worry for the most vulnerable people in our community. I hope the ombudsman steps in and stops these practices. In the meantime, there will be many people who get a rude awakening when their next bill arrives.

contacted this organisation via their website form. Requesting contact in the afternoon as I have some questions . Got a cal in morning then promised to call back in afternoon when home. 3 days no contact back. obviously not interested in new business.

The worst supplier of electricity in the country. Claim to be Australian and local but all back office is in Asia. No one from Australia will get involved at any stage and you get the standard script read answers from a text book that may or may not apply to your situation from an Asian call centre. It should be illegal for this company to advertise itself as an Australian feel good story when it doesn't employ Australians for the most part. A terrible experience, do not go near this business.

Soooo unhelpful. This company will not be around long based on their customer service. After phoning more than 9 other providers - who gave me charges and plans based on my address - Q-ENERGY was the ONLY one who demanded a meter number and would not provide ANY information AT ALL until I had that (I don't have my bill in front of me). Sorry, but that means I won't consider them at all.
