I had to question charges for solar meter installation by Origin and Tammy from Ombudsman was very helpful to resolve it to my favor. People, remember that you have customer rights that retailers often violate.

Don’t bother calling them they work for the electric and Gas companies.
They have no interest in helping with the extreme price of electricity or the unfair predator behaviour of big businesses using tricky Lingo to con Australian families out of has much of their hard earned money has possible.They are rolling in cash and our young family is sitting in the Dark.I am petrified to ever use the aircon and we try not cook meals more then once or twice a week for fear of the cost of the electricity.
When our Baby was sick we used the hot water option on the washing machine for a month
And our electricity bill sky rocketed.
If the electricity price goes up again I fear that we will not be able to afford electricity any more.My wife and I both work full time and barely get any time with our family.
Please does anyone care about Australian families anymore?we just want a fair price and fair go.

Very helpful and acted on my behalf to resolve some issues after retailer was unresponsive. Lucy and Gail were great to deal with.

The EWOQ is nothing but a pathetic front set up by the energy/electricity industry to give the "illusion", that if you have been treated unfairly or have a dispute with your energy company that you can have it addressed in a fair & reasonable manner. My dealings with every. single. one. of the EWOQ staff, from first point contact reception, to my case manager and even the area manager was appalling. They were ALL down right rude, uncaring, unsympathetic and basically a could not care less attitude towards my dispute case.  They caused me a huge amount of distress and anguish, to get nothing and no help from them in the end whatsoever. a disgusting excuse for a ombudsmen.
