We were impressed with the service, friendliness and expertise of MC Electrical from our very first contact with Yorick to get a quote. Yorick took the time to understand our goals and provide options for the best combination of quality and value for money for our circumstances, and then managed a miracle to organise what may well be the fastest installation window in history. Installation staff were on time, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with and follow up service has been fantastic. We are very happy with our decision to go with MC Electrical for our solar installation.

We recently purchased a 20 panel Sun power and Fronius system from M.C. I did plenty of research and had a fair idea of what I wanted before I approached various companies for quotes. Most companies offered simple online forms and they would email and call with their numbers but few would take the time to inspect your property or quote on-premise. M.C.'s reputation precedes them in that regard and I must say that I have not been disappointed. They were informative, helpful and didn’t rush to press you into a sale. Their sales team is a prime example of good customer service and how to attract clients. They are not the cheapest of course, but I certainly didn’t mind paying for quality advice and service, rather than just quality parts at the lowest price. 

Solar is a reasonably big investment and you want to trust the team that you’re dealing with – especially given the many years of warranty that accompanies many components. Their installation was on-time, top notch and their after sales service also provides the same favourable impression as their sales team. 

If there is any criticisms and feedback, there could have been slightly better information provided in terms of the products. Panel providers typically have many different types and models (e.g. SunPower has E, X & P type panels). There was little to no background, benefits analysis, or rationale as to why M.C. would choose a particular type, nor an option to select. The Fronius Smart Meter was another was a similar case. Unless you’re intending on switching your solar for other uses (e.g. pool or hot water), the benefits for installing a smart meter wasn’t entirely clear other than to see more detailed metrics. Luckily there is plenty of material available on the internet and I’m positive that the team from M.C. would happily answer any questions that arise. 

I feel confident we’ve made the right decision in opting to buy from M.C. Electrical and would definitely recommend the company to anyone else looking at installing solar.

I selected MC Electrical over other solar companies for a few reasons.  When you are spending a significant amount of money, the value of having a representative come to your home at the prearranged time, to explain the various options and assist with the decision making that is in your best interests is worth a premium over other "over the phone" installer options.  Assurances regarding the quality of work using in house installer teams plus the benefit of using a local supplier who designs, sells and maintains systems should I ever need assistance. I understand the installers come and go in a highly cost competitive business, but I reasoned that my money spent locally benefits locals and is a small insurance for the future.  From the sales staff to the installers, all have treated me with courtesy and respect, been responsive to my queries and kept me well informed throughout.  Recommended without reservation.

I had a 4.5kw Solar system installed by MC Solar and couldn't believe the poor quality of workmanship! First they installed the panels in the wrong place then argued that the original agreed spot couldn't be done!!!!! As well as this they damaged several of the brand new roof sheets and argued that this was normal for a job of this nature.
      I received rude and argumentative e mails from the owner Mark Cavanagh and when I finally convinced him to rectify all the mistakes it took months and several no shows that I had taken time off work to be there for before his team finally came out and fixed the installation. The final job was still nowhere near the agreed finish but he refused to do any more. I withheld the small final payment arguing that they hadn't completed the job to my satisfaction! He then threatened legal action! 
The installed system has not delivered anywhere near the guaranteed savings that I was promised either. 
I would never recommend them and warn anyone considering them to NOT to use MC Solar as they will do a substandard job.
