ORIGIN should be fully investigated on their appalling business practices. If this were a small business the owner would be in court and banned from operating. This company gives you the go around with hundreds of different people in call centres overseas. Just the fact they never give Direct Numbers to Head Personnel within Australia, shows their deceit and proof to inhibit the consumer in every way. This company then blackmail with Bills that are not even valid or wrongful with just placing defaults on credit reports. This company attempted to obtain money deception wrongfully making demands of money for an address never resided at. In dealing with the issue, they flog off to the collection agency, who then say they can not do anything until Origin address the matter. 8 months later Origin still can not attend to the matter and give overseas numbers with people that have no autonomy. Every Australian should sue this company for the business time losses. It is unacceptable how Australian Government never hold banks, energy company etc to any accountability and demand from them standards in service, and compliance to consumer rights. Every Big business Must Give Direct Head Office Numbers.

Need a new meter as had solar panels put on my roof over 2 MONTHS ago. Received first correspondence from Origin on Jan 2 advising service order lodged. Don't hear anything for 1 MONTH. Feb 1 receive email from Origin advising meter install on Feb 15. Feb 15, NOBODY COMES, NO METER INSTALLED, RECEIVE NO CORRESPONDENCE OR COURTESY CALL. Feb 16, receive email from Origin advising meter install now on MARCH 5. NO EXPLANATION, NO APOLOGY - JUST PUT BACK ON THE END OF THE QUEUE. Not good enough! And what guarantee do I have that they will show on March, 5? None. Thankfully there are other options, I'll be exploring them and I suggest you do too.

This must be the worst customer service in Queensland or maybe even Australia. I have had trouble with my hot water system and after the electricians have checked everything, they said it would most probably be the Off Peak Switch and to ask origin to send someone to check it out. After three phone calls, finally got someone to help although she was more interested in blaming me for the no hot water problem. after 15mins and finally reducing me to tears she finally agreed to have someone come out and check the switch. Told me several times I would have to pay a fee if there was nothing wrong with their switch. Up to 20 days it can take. No hot water for 20 days in winter. wow can't wait. They certainly do not care about their customers. The last time I dealt with them was to have the power switched off at my parents house as they had both died and we had sold the house. They refused as they need my father to authorise me to work on his behalf. They had a copy of the death certificate and the will and still insisted he needed to ring and authorise me. ???? from the grave??? Had to get the ombudsman to intervene on my behalf. Wish I had given them the flick then. May have to consider it this time. Wish I could give them half a star.

I don't understand why technicians who will just connect the electricity to the premise don't have a mobile device to contact with the customer !.. You guys just stuck us at home for 5-6 hours, can't move anywhere, can't do anything. No electricity No internet !.. I hope Bills won't be a rip-off as what other customers says.

I would give minus stars for the absolute lack of intelligence from the staff at origin. Was told that there would be no lose of power during a transfer to another company (due to origins severe lack of customer service and taking 2x direct debit payments for months) yet here we are, no power and no resolution. Put in a complaint and the gentleman said “we aren’t in the wrong as we followed the right script” and in the same sentence said “we dont have a script for customers transferring”....... dont waste your time when the workers have no clue, aren’t given the right tools and cant even state the policies they have! -10 stars. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH ORIGIN!!!!!!!!
