Story

Purple Weka Cafe & Bar not only do we have fantastic coffee, we offer a great range of delicious menu items from abroad and some great Kiwi (Weka) classics for you to try. Whether you feel like a classic Eggs Benedict, an amazing Open Steak Sammy and fries, or just a snack from our extensive cabinet range, there is something to satisfy every appetite.

The food and service are pretty good here. It's very child friendly which is a must for me. The owner us really down to earth and seems to enjoy speaking to the patrons.

Friendly service, great food and hit chocolates (i don't drink coffee). Stu and the girls always look after you and are up for a laugh.

Our food was great, service was quick, nice cabinet range to choose from, and a good range on the menu. The coffee was excellent. Decor and sound proofing was average but not a problem at all (nice to see all the old matching draw-leaf timber tables); prices were good. The only minus: the food labels on the display cabinet were completely mixed up, none of them matched up with the food they were in front of (hardly something to get upset about).

They make a great cup of coffee using Hummingbird roasted coffee beans! They also do sandwiches and hot food like fries and chips. Friendly staff and good service. Welcoming atmosphere. Would I go back? Yes 😊
