Story

Welcome to Hello Sunday. This beautiful old building began its life as an 18th century place of community connection as a Post Office before being delivered to its current site here in Sydenham. In the early 19th century it then become a place of worship and guidance as the Baptist Church Sunday School. Now the owners of Hello Sunday, Christopher Penny, Yasmeen Clark and Jonathan Spark take great pleasure in bringing you this unique and rare building’s latest rebirth, Hello Sunday café.
We have a love for creating a connection within the community. Continuing in its rich history, our café strives to provide great food and coffee to nourish and ultimately bring people together.
Enjoy the heart warming feeling of Sunday where we pause, rest and reflect, something you will be able to find all week long.

Had the yummiest Black Forest Tiramisu Oats from here alongside the Duck Waffles! The atmosphere was great and we loved that you are allowed dogs in here, very refreshing to see! The service was also very good :
Cute place with lovely atmosphere. It was definitely on me to order sweet on sweet. The decadent mocha was a bit overkill as it was really sweet.. the french toast was good, i would get them again next time. Eggs benny had a really great bacon on it. Overall good
A gorgeous little Cafe, with a very well thought out menu.nI got the beef cheeks hash. Absolutely phenomenal. A rich blend of beautiful flavors which creates a unique taste in the mouth. Flawless execution and great staff. Hot chocolate was beautiful too.nnGreat job guys, I'll be seeing you again.
I really enjoyed my experience here today! My dog and i sat in the outside area next to a small garden, really gave us zen vibes. The food menu had unique savoury options, i ordered the gnocchi that surprisingly worked so well with the roasted hazelnut and was presented so beautifully. I also ordered a sweet strawberry and cream smoothie, that was nice too. There was a fair range of gluten free options but not many sweet gluten free options. The server was so kind, friendly and eager to help out for any questions i had. She was also very kind to my dog and gave her some water. I enjoyed the decorations and chill vibe of the cafe and especially like that it’s dog friendly! It was a little bit pricy but i think its okay for the amazing experience my dog and i had
I've been a couple of times now and the service is consistently good. You will want to call ahead or risk being disappointed as they are super busy over the weekend. I brought my dog and he got his photo on the wall of fame! Food is delicious I've had the Chilli scramble, fries, fried chicken, cabinet food, biscoff frappe and coffee. All well prepared and beautifully presented. I love the atmosphere, it's warm and lots of little nooks around the place.
