A bit of a mission to get to but certainly well worth the visit. We did not camp but the family did and enjoyed the peace and quiet. No internet and make sure you have all your supplies. No phone service and we found the river easy to go and cool off.

Very quiet, in a random place and not exactly near the beaten track. Facilities virtually non existent (water tap and some picnic tables). Very very cold here when i stayed. Peaceful though. Stars on a clear night spectacular. Unsealed road on the drive in. No ranger in sight when i stayed here. One very short walk (to the hill adjacent) nearby - unremarkable.
