We weren't sure where the pinewood came from the name. The ceiling doesn't disappoint! All you need in a little motel. Greate parking. Lovely body/shampoo soap provided. Quiet enough considering we were right next to the freeway and I'm a light sleeper. The gent who checked us in was lovely.nnThe bathroom we had was much more updated that the photos.nnProtip: Everything is shut by around 8pm in this small town, including the check-in here!
Our room was extremely clean, modern and comfortable it smelt really good also. Price for 1 night was very reasonable too.nnMotels can sometimes be hit or miss, but Pinewood Motel is the exception. Thank you!
Pinewood Motel is a clean and handy place to stay in Fairlie.nEasy check in accomodating late arrival, 3rd time staying here, 2 adults 1 child in a 2 bedroom motel with very friendly and approchable staff.nGood sized rooms, comfortable leather couches, full fridge, oven, cook top and microwave.nGreat location, 5 minute walk to town centre and close enough for day trips to Tekapo or surrounding Ski feilds.nWould 100% recommend this Motel.
Hi all,nI would like to share an honest feedback from pinewood hotel that we stayed for 1 night only. We stayed from 8.30pm to 8am.n1. Room had mould odour on entry at 8pm.n2. Water jug inside has black rust , photo taken for proof, we were unable to contact them at the same time because we reached at 0830pm and there were no one at reception.nn3. There is a condition from them that, if we leave dishes or water glass wet post use or without drying, they will charge us extra $20, which I found really upsetting. If you want extra $20 charge then could you please consider to supply $5 tissue box to dry wet glass.
After booking room via telephone enquiry a informative and polite owner gave details on a room suitable for our stay. Parking was easy right outside our room, we were given details of eateries and of course the famous Farlie Pie shop. It was cold outside but on entering our room is was nice and warm. The room is well equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable and spacious room. After travelling for most of the day, the bed was so comfortable had no trouble sleeping. The room was spotless and the owners took great pride ensuring our stay was enjoyable and informative on all tourist attractions in Farlie and other townships including Timaru and Mount cook a short drive from Farlie. Would highly recommend this Motel.
