Nice and clean little coffee.nDelicious pie. We ordered bacon and salmon. And steak and cheese. It were delicious!!! Coffee was good.
Fantastic, delicious pies and probably the best coffee I’ve had in the South Island.nSalmon pie was my favourite.nService was quick and very friendly.nPlenty of tables indoors and outdoors. Was lucky to have very good weather when I was there and had a wonderful mid drive break eating their lovely pies outdoors.
As an American, not sure I love the applesauce + meat combo, but all the pies we tried were tasty and flaky.nnThis place was pretty busy and a bit hard to find a table. Seems like it’s just filled with tourists. Pies were fast but ordering a coffee took way too long.
A very crowded place indeed. Luckily we came right on time before the crowd starting to flock the place.nnWe ordered 4 pies, salmon&bacon, pork belly, steak&cheese and chicken&cranberry. Honestly my fav is salmon&bacon!!! I think they are one of the best pies I've ever eaten. Steak is also very tender and juicy, nice. Pork belly feels like eating a chinese food in a form of a pie hahah. My least favorite flavor was the chicken&cranberry. But everything was great, served fresh/hot!
They have loads of gluten free options, including pastry pies and cakes. The mince and cheese pie was delicious and the pastry was great! Just be aware the gf pies are about half the size of the normal ones so you kinda need to buy two $6.80 each!
