A fairly extraordinary place to stop for a pie! Like everyone else, I had friends recommending the Pork Belly pie. Despite being a Steak and Cheese kinda guy, I was not disappointed when branching out and taking a risk on the Pork Belly. I clocked up three pie visits in our short stay here. Two breakfast pies, one lunch pie. I can vouch for the fact that, about lunch time, you'll find queues out the door. The tourist buses descend on Fairlie and everyone is hungry for pie. That said, the staff know how to work a crowd and get through the queue with great efficiency while still giving each person a great reception!

Staff very helpful. I wanted some cold pies to bring home. After taking our orders for coffee and food, we sat down at table. Food and drinks brought very promptly, and it was busy. Then our cold pies were delivered all boxed ready to go. Eftpos machine bought to the table so I could pay. Great service and pies are just superb.

Always a queue in this popular place. But they’re efficient and you won’t wait any longer than about 5 minutes. There is a wide variety of baked goods (pies included) and, while slightly expensive, they are fabulously yummy and made from decent and legitimate ingredients.

Very popular with the people in Fairlie. Pies smell really good. We bought 4 in total - creamy chicken, venison cranberry, ultimate steak pepper creamy mushroom, and bacon and salmon. Awesome!

Myself and 2 friends from the North Island had lunch here. Was a great experience from the town itself to a busy place with quick friendly service. Food was homemade and fresh, i had the soup.
