Oh my god.... the restaurant is so NOT fine dinning. You can literally hear the microwave beeping from your table. Meal came out too fast because it was pretty much all reheated. Potatoes tasted like that were cooked a few days ago and the vegetables were the frozen kind you buy from the supermarket in the steam pouches covered in some sweet gross cheese sauce. I had the venison that came with no stake knife and again completely covered in a sweet berry sauce that was so overpowering. One word to describe my meal .... Yuck!! The other girls had the monk fish and fish chowder. The Monk fish was uneatable and the chowder made my friend sick. We spoke to the waiter and he explained that monk fish was “poor mans cray fish” and it’s not meant to have any flavour. We were then told that we mustn’t eat Monk fish much because if we did then we would know this. When I mentioned the frozen reheated vegetables I was told that I didn’t know anything about the pressures of running a restaurant. I do know that you shouldn’t pay $32 for a meal that I would cook better from home. If you want to feel like you are Gordon Ramsay visiting a restaurant in desperate need of help and then have deal with an unapologetically waiter then this is the place for you. 😋

We have been travelling thought NZ and trust me, this is by far the BEST diner that I have come accross and it is tucked away in Fairile! Scrumptious spread. Tried the minestrone soup, salmon and pork belly and everything was delicious And yes! Do Do try the pavlova for dessert

Amazing dinner at a lovely restaurant tucked away in this little town. The place is run by people passionate about their craft and it shows. Must try.
