The room was disappointing $99 was not a fair price. $45 would have been better.nnI didn't mind having a single bed to sleep in, but the bed had a very thin and old comforter with yellow stains all over it, no top sheet, just a bottom sheet.nnLuckily, I found another sheet in the cupboard in my room. The bedside lamp was missing a light bulb. The bedroom door has a big crack down the middle of it, so it let light in all night.nnThe carpet was old and worn. The shared bathroom was gross, not very clean, and floor coverings were lifting everywhere in the bathroom.nnThe bar looked run down, and the food was disappointing. I was told 30 to 40 minutes wait I thought sweet I'll wait. After an hour, I asked the barman where my food was, as.i had been waiting an hour, and he went and asked the kitchen they said they gave it to someone else by mistake.nnHe said it would be 7 minutes, 25 minutes later, I got my food, and the steak sandwich had nice caramelized onions in it.nBut the steak in it was little cubes that were chewie and kept falling out of the sandwich.nnI would not stay here again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here.nnThe whole building inside and out needs to be completely pulled a part and renovated.
Pretty run down and certainly overpriced at 110 bucks. The walls are paper thin and it is quite noisy but at least there was no noise coming from the busy bar. The smoke safety door on the stairs was wedged open which could have been dangerous.
Hotel is very antiquated and rundown. Barman Alex was kind at check-in. Our upstairs room was stiflingly hot. No electric fan provided. Two of the light fixtures were missing bulbs. Walls are paper thin, and we could hear our next door neighbors loud and clear. Shower in the women’s shared bathroom overflowed. Refrigerator, microwave and TV available in downstairs shared area. On a positive note, the WiFi was blazing fast!
Cheap & nasty, this establishment embodies the good, the bad and the ugly.nGood:nLocation, easy checkin at the bar, WiFi, hot water, curtains keep the room dark overnight.nBad:nRipped carpets, thin walls, no vacuuming/bins emptied before checkin, rooms and windows open so 5 flies were buzzing all night, wall light is missing the globe, no locks on the window despite external walkway, no insect mesh on the window, whole building is in serious disrepair and neglect.nUgly:nNo exit signs in the rooms, mouldy bathroom that appears to be be a demolition in-progress, broken toilet, dirty doona with stains. Fire alarm system is vintage and may not be operating/compliant.nnMake this your last choice if sleeping in the car isn't possible.
Room did not reflect the price. My bedroom was smelly, dirty, as was the duvet cover, I had to make my own bed with the top sheet. I would say this is a hostel and a far cry from a ‘hotel’ but for the $119 price tag for a single bed with shared bathroom facilities I would expect the price to reflect this. Road works all night outside the ‘hotel’ which we were not told about, I was awake all night. The price should have reflected this.
