We offer warm and affordable hospitality to ensure you enjoy your stay in Fairlie the gateway to the Mackenzie basin.Our renovated motel units are situated in the heart of Fairlie, just 44km from Lake Tekapo. There is the choice of 4 studio units with ensuite, new beds and heaters, mini kitchenette and free WiFi. There are flatscreen TVs with Freeview. A continental breakfast is available on request. An unexpected stop in Fairlie for the night took me too Mackenzie motel. The room was absolutely spotless, comfortable, and a pleasure to stay in. The staff were also outstanding. Would recommend.Rooms: 5/5
We found this place by chance late in the day, while travelling through. We had our dog with us, and I asked if it was okay for our dog to sleep in the car outside the unit. The friendly proprietor agreed, but added that there is a little fenced yard, and that we were welcome to take our dog through the unit and let him loose there. Well, it was perfect - our outside dog often chooses to sleep on a covered deck at home rather than in his kennel, so he settled in so nicely we left him there with his own bedding to sleep. Dog was very happy. And as for us, we were very comfortable in our smartly renovated unit; spotlessly clean and conveniently situated. Thanks so much.

What a lovely clean motel! Warm and cosy. Lovely bed and such clean linen. Lovely proprietors as well. Because it was winter rates we only paid $95 for the night. It was well worth it and definitely would stay again. Funny point- fantastic shampoo. In other words ..... LOVELY!Rooms: 5/5
Owner/operator business, received great and polite service. The room we booked was a two bedroom unit. This accommodation was huge, plenty of space and very comfortable beds. Also had our own small garden and our own BBQ to use if needed. Very neat and tidy unit. Highly recommend for price and service as well.
Owners are lovely. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and are in a great location. Even though the building itself is old, everything inside is new - new carpet, sheets, pillows etc. The shower has great water pressure and it is huge. We stayed here with two other couples and all rooms were nice. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this place to others.
